On Sunday I worked from 7 am to 7:30 pm and then headed home…
I arrived at 1:30 am.
Confused?
I’m home with the fam!
As I mentioned in my last post, Kyle dropped me off at work so that he would have the car all day, and then be able to pick me up after work so we could leave straight away. And by straight away, I mean, after stopping at Whole Foods for dinner. 😉
We made it home safe and sound – no thanks to the stormy California weather…slept in ‘til 10.
And then I caffeinated, blogged, and made some oats.
With almost every add-in I could scrounge up, including (but not limited to):
- apples
- almonds
- dried cranberries
- cinnamon
- blueberries
- vanilla soymilk
Then I proceeded to pound my way through a Costco sized tub of dry roasted almonds. I did it all in sweat pants, and have no shame sharing with you the fact that in total I had nearly 3 cups.
Tonight is “taco night” so I have to get my butt in gear and help prep.
Happy (early) holidays. We are celebrating tomorrow since I work on Christmas day. 🙂
PS To all the people I owe emails…I’m eventually going to get around to them, I swear! Why hasn’t apple created an auto-email reply app yet?
i love tacos!!! sounds like itll be good fun!
Yayy enjoy being home!! And I feasted on a Costco jar of pistachios last night…one hour in front of the TV and when I looked down I was seriously impressed with my nut-eating ability (har har har).
Have fun with your fam 🙂 I hope you have a wonderful early Christmas with them!!

Elise! I really didn’t mean for my post to come off as saying veganism was a sacrifice! Merely, it will be difficult since my body is more accustomed to the carnivorous things in the world (ever since I gave up going veg a year ago). i am super excited for this short change. As for only eating salads, that is the boy’s choice in order start his bod into gear. I am doing this a little differently with tofu, veggie burgers, stir frys, etc… I don’t want you to think I am naive at all, because I was vegetarian for a year.
much much love for you and your bloggie!
Lolo
no no…i didnt mean it like that! haha. i know youre a well informed foodie. i was saying it in a more teasing tone. 🙂 holler to the seitan burgs in your future!!

now i feel like an a$$ lol. I thought u were but I wasn’t for sure. Your comment did make sense tho! Since I didn’t really go into the logistics of how we were doing it, I changed the language up a bit, so others didn’t read into it wrong (just in case)…I am so excited for Mexico so I will takes tons of pics!!! Merry Christmas love bug! Oh and costco supersized anything makes my life better…i.e. Chobani, olives, pickles, and cheerios 🙂 I have costco sizes of them all in my house.
Enjoy your time with family. I am so behind in emails too!
Enjoy family time and the holidays 🙂

glad you made it safe and sound. have a very merry xmas!!!
first you meet-up with lynn, then you get invited to a swanky restaurant opening and then you completely butcher my almond eating record by inhaling three cups. totes jealous.
