A big day

Kyle’s on his way home!  Weee!  After an eternity on my own, I’m re-he-he-heeeeally looking forward to his return. [edited to add: the van broke down and he’s stuck in Albuquerque sorting out the game plan to fix it, so who knows what this means for his return home] Let me just photo bomb you with some recent meals… Carrots, green grapes, Mary’s Gone crackers, Redwood Hill Farm smoked cheddar goat cheese, hard boiled eggs, local smoked almonds (from the Co-op). Outside eating weekend

Mother’s Day weekend

What an amazing weekend.  Not just because I got showered with love.  With or without Mother’s Day, this past Saturday and Sunday were just plain awesome. Kyle was down in LA on Friday for a conference, so I was solo parenting again. Dos Coyotes

Guess what we had for dinner on Cinco de Mayo?   I know it’s totally cliché (but I don’t really care).  Kyle’s been talking Dos Coyotes up since we moved to Davis and I figured the 5th of May was as good a time as any to try it out.  Plus, Kyle had been out of town and was due to arrive home in the early evening that day.  So not only was the fridge close to empty in terms of fresh groceries, but his welcome home was also worth celebrating.  But really, who needs… Read more >
