Sweet Christmas

I feel like I could do an entire post on Elise’s Christmas chocolate…because Santa knows me well…

Which is basically the best sentence I could ever write.

I just love chocolate. If I had my way, dessert would replace dinner on most nights. But since I am attempting to demonstrate healthy balanced habits for my children, I won’t go there… 😛

The Lake Champlain chocolate Santa above was a gift from our neighbor. He gave them to the kids, but Kyle and I stole them. Because we are the best parents ever, obviously. It was DIVINE. Lake Champlain makes gooooood stuff.

Also, we need to have a discussion about this TJs bark that Santa brought me.

A QUARTET!! Of bark! It’s an amazing concept, made even better by it’s perfect execution.

The chocolate is thick and the flavors are unique (oreo cookie! caramel popcorn! cashew sea salt! almond coconut!).

And then there’s the See’s! Kyle made this box with all my favorites – like the chocolate covered marshmallow and nut pieces, and scotchmallows, and dark butterchews, and California brittle. Okay, I like a lot of See’s. Too many to fit in one box.

Do you think there are people in this world who eat more chocolate than I do? I mean that earnestly. Is there any way another person out there eats as much chocolate as I do? I find it hard to imagine, but there are a lot of people in the world…and I do try to practice a little bit of moderation…

Hope you all had wonderful Christmases. See you on the flip side of 2019! There will be no resolutions relating to sweets, that’s for sure.

Totally feel ya with dessert replacing all meals. BUT for our children and our waistline… I agree healthy meals must exist. Ah but we can dream right?

Ha! I have the most amazing recipe for chocolate bundt cake from my SIL’s mom. I’m not a huge chocolate/sweets person and this is incredible. Devils fudge cake mix with fudge pudding, vanilla pudding, and chocolate chips topped with chocolate glaze.

I love chocolate too. I never used to care about it…i preferred vanilla and rarely ate anything chocolate. But then when I was pregnant with G something happened…I blame hormones 🙂 I wanted alllllllll the chocolate and the love has never gone away. It looks like you got some good Christmas treats!!

What an awesome assortment of chocolates!! Yummm! The box of Sees is worth its weight in gold….. and the kids are way too young to know the difference between the good stuff and crummy hershey’s – good chocolate deserves an appreciative audience! And seriously it’s not like it’s processed weird fake crapola, and obviously you are crazy fit and don’t drink/do drugs/have real coffee so chocolate is practically an essential for mental health and quality of life.
