Singing the Marriott’s praises

These two <3

As soon as they woke up in the morning they got into the same bed.

And as soon as I busted out some miles in the gym I hopped over to Choice.  For the first time, I placed my order online so it was ready and waiting for me as soon as I arrived.  Easy peasy!  Now why did it take me so long to do that!?!

By the way, my foot is finally feeling normal again!  I went on a run along the beach one morning and it was ok but I could still tell it wasn’t 100% and I didn’t want to ruin all the good I’d done by keeping off it for the past few weeks so I stuck to the elliptical for the rest of the time.  And now I’m really thinking it’s there.

Beach time. Hang loose!

P was off dancing in the sand while Kyle and V were playing in the sand, and I was LYING IN THE SUN like I had not a responsibility in the world. Heaven.

Kyle got fish n chips from the poolside restaurant and I walked on over to the Choice take away in Whaler’s Village and got their Caesar salad.

I’m happy to report I’ve now finished off TWO bags of kettle chips on vacation BY MY OWN SELF.

I had a bit of FOMO looking at Kyle’s fish n chips though.  Turns out, the Marriott’s poolside restaurant is kinda awesome!?  I shouldn’t be so surprised since everything at the Marriott is amazing.

It’s really a fantastic place.  There are so many non-pool things to do…like ping pong, pool and shuffle board.  And the kids center with games, movies, and puzzles (that you can even rent for free!).  Plus a bunch of planned activities every hour for families and kids alike.  We have lots of things circled on the schedule for the week.  🙂

For dinner I got a pulled pork sando from the aforementioned poolside restaurant.  They have gluten free bread / rolls and can make almost anything on the menu GF friendly.  Hooray!  This sando was AWESOME.  See???  My standards aren’t that high!?  I felt bad for my debbie downer review of Hula Grill, but I gotta be honest.  Good food is good food.  And this sandwich was good.

I got fish tacos for the kids and it was great because it came with two so they each got one.

Kyle got pizza and it looked SO GOOD!  They make their own dough and everything!  And they even have GF pizza crusts (no vegan cheese though)!  As you can see, the Marriott is very much winning my heart over.  Everything from the pirate ship kids pool to arts and crafts to cafe menu has impressed me.  I barely need to leave the property.

Oh and they have the LA Times so I can get my crossword fix every day.  🙂
