No nog

I can’t tell you how excited I was for this… And it left me in so much agony, I couldn’t even blog about it without residual GI pangs shooting back through my body.  Now, a week later, I’m here to say I am through with the seasonal soy bevvies.  Sad. Anyone tried the coconut milk ones?  Yeah or nay?

Treating an addiction

Ever since I tried Justin’s chocolate peanut butter cups I have been craving them for dessert.  Every.  Single.  Night.  It’s kinda a problem.  Well, only because I can’t afford to continue the habit.  I bought two packages on my first grocery trip.  I had them back to back nights.  I then went out of my way to take another trip to Whole Foods a few days later because those interim nights’ desserts were pathetic in comparison to the chocolate-y peanutty goodness that Justin’s treats possess.  I really didn’t need any other groceries, but I needed… Read more >

111111

I know all the other number nerds out there appreciated the date today as much as I did.  To the rest of you, happy Friday.   Kyle and I got take-out from The Veggie Grill since I had a birthday coupon that was days away from expiring.     Free entree, what what! Sometimes, it’s a bit much.  Case in point… Radiology: Is patient X able to come down for his PA/LAT now?  Does he need oxygen?  Any isolation? Patient room: Can I get pain meds? Lab: Critical value for patient Y, their PTT is 121 [yikes!] Pharmacy: The medication order for patient Z needs clarification,… Read more >

I never thought an Asian inspired spring roll could taste so authentically Italian.  It seems weird, right?  But all it took was one bite and I knew I had made something particolarmente delizioso.  [fyi, that’s Italian for effing delish] Don’t judge these guys by their appearance.  I’m not exactly proficient in rolling spring wrappers.  As far as flavor goes though, these are dead on.  I promise.  Lasagna rolls (v, gf) Ingredients: rice wrappers (I double wrapped them, so make sure you have double the amount you want to make) tomato sauce spinach tofu ricotta  … Read more >
