Therapy baking

I am happy to report I finally got bread flour. And 30 grams of yeast. But only 30 grams. Which means I was able to bake one loaf. Juuuuust enough to scratch the itch, but not enough to fully satisfy it. This gorgeous gal was VERY well received and was the main course for dinner the night after I made it. So many goodies! No recipe chili

I don’t have much to say…so I’m not sure why I’m here, but I took photos of this big pot of chili that I made (which is now gone) so I thought I may as well post them. It feels comforting to do some of the same things in the midst of everything else being different. I’m glad I got the 8 quart IP. No rules anymore

I don’t want to change your opinion of me but I did this last week. And I’m probably going to do it again because by 4/5 pm I am very ready to get my own little happy hour under way. It helps to have dinner done beforehand. šŸ˜› Makes the buzz a little more enjoyable if you don’t have to cook. This sauce was peanut butter based, and yes, I even gave some to P. But not too much. Creative saucery

Guess what!? I discovered a new favorite combination! Mayo + pesto is amazing and adding it on top of chicken leftovers was a brilliant idea, if I do say so myself. I also roasted potatoes and brussels sprouts. It was a fantastic dinner. More sauce/dressing creativity struck in the form of the herby flavorful oil from jarred sun dried tomatoes. I have so little energy to blog…I honestly don’t even know how I got myself to open wordpress, but here I am with four seconds to spare and so I’m going to upload some food photos because it makes me happy to see/reminisce on things I made.
