Breakfast lunch and dinner

We have officially been back for a week and we are basically kinda sorta adjusted. Daylight savings time didn’t do us any favors, but that’s to be expected by now. I thought we voted to get rid of that? Here are some of the food pics from one day last week… Breakfast of champions. All I want is butter (salty butter to be specific) on bread these days. This was my second cup of coffee, which is why it is black. I like my first cup to be suuuper creamy, but then my next cup… Read more >

Mask and treat

Did you all have a decent Halloween? Our neighborhood was awesomely on top of it and we all texted to make sure everyone had (safe) plans to make it extra special for the kids. Since 2020 is such a dumpster fire otherwise, I really wanted the littles to have a good experience. They are young enough that they don’t have many memories or knowledge of what a “normal” Halloween is supposed to look like, so creating a covid friendly, but still fun holiday wasn’t too hard. We had lots of yard games and pre-packaged treats…although… Read more >

Ka’anapali eats

On the way to the airport! Starbucks to go! It has been SO MANY MONTHS since I’ve been to Starbucks I barely remember how to order! I packed lunches for the kids and one million snacks for us all, because I had no idea how long we could/would be held up at various points throughout the trip, but I didn’t pack a meal for myself! Luckily SFO has this awesome build your own salad/grain bowl place that had a killer menu. I could have ordered at least 10 different things off the menu, it all… Read more >

Empty the fridge

Before we went to Hawaii I managed to avoid the grocery store in order to do a fridge clean-out. And I did a DANG good job if I do say so myself (even if it meant eating meals I wasn’t super in the mood for). We had an al fresco meal with nuts, cheeses, bread, and fruit. It’s my new go-to on lazy days. The kids think it’s the fanciest and love that they can just help themselves to whatever. They still call it a “feast” like they did back when we first started doing… Read more >

Backyard bathing suit football

Since we were leaving town for my birthday, we celebrated it a bit early. It was literally the most perfect Sunday ever. We started with a lazy morning of coffee and pancakes. Followed by football. IN THE HOT TUB. The spa arrived the week before, so we were able to do the last few things that needed to happen before our inspection took place, and now everything is 100% done and it feels like the biggest weight off my shoulders. And we can fully enjoy the yard without wondering who will come wandering in through… Read more >
