You know how chaotic things gets around the holidays, so it’s no surprise blogging fell off the radar.
Look at all these goodies!
Our house is a fa-la-la-la free-for-all right now…and I feel like it’s bursting at the seams with sugar. Normally the mess would bother me, but it feels like holly jolly bedlam, rather than your every day chaos.
It almost looks like a TJs ad up in here!
Santa knows what I want š
But before we got to all that…
For Christmas Eve we got takeout from my favorite restaurant in Sac. Pushkin’s was renamed to Sibling’s (something to do with the restaurant group getting all their properties under one name?) but it is still the same as before.
And since we have traditionally gone out to brunch the day before Christmas, we decided to continue the tradition with take out instead.
Four orders of chicken and waffles to go! š
We went to a drive thru church service where we all stayed in our cars and tuned in via the radio and then came home to watch the stop motion animated Rudolph the red nosed reindeer.
On Christmas morning I had half a batch of cinnamon rolls ready to bake.
Which we enjoyed warm from the oven with fruit and bacon.
And from there the day devolved into a chocolate fest…
The kids felt loved. We are safe and healthy. Things are weird but we are fortunate. And that’s what I’m going to focus on for the rest of 2020.
