I woke up to my alarm, but the good news is that I could roll over and turn it off because I finally had a day off today. After my run of 3 days in a row, I could hardly move today. All my joints hurt. Every muscle ached. I really just wanted to stay in bed all day. Unfortunately, that tends to mess up my sleeping schedule beyond repair, and since I don’t enjoy tossing and turning until 4 am trying to fall asleep I now have just given in to the fact that I have to get up early even on days off.
This foamy mug of deliciousness helped me start off the day right (and probably gets me about as close to being a morning person as I’ll ever be). I had ff Lactaid and vanilla creamer with it (and of course my new obsession Stevia)!! It was quite nice to relax on the couch while catching up on the tivo-ed shows from the week so far (ie Gossip Girl, 90210, the View, and Ellen)…so after 2 cups and a few too many trashy shows, I picked my butt up off the couch and hit the gym (NYSC to be exact). I must have stretched all morning in preparation btw, and it STILL wasn’t enough. Anyways, it was a good work out until I realized I had to get my ass back home for our Fresh Direct delivery. I completely forgot, so after the elliptical I stretched for like 2 minutes and booked it home. Ok, I just lied there. I actually sprinted to our whole foods to get a massive bag of yogurt covered raisins…I really may have a problem 🙂
So I showered in 4 minutes, and was barely dressed when the doorman buzzed. Nothing too exciting with the delivery, although we did get an unexpected 6 liters of Coke that we didn’t order OR pay for…looks like Kyle will be having a lot of soda in the near future.
Lunch was a “turkey” sando. It was made with the usual: Ezekiel bread, ff Fage, honey mustard, organic lettuce, and smart deli “turkey” meat. Followed by a dangerous amount of yogurt covered raisins. I mean we are talking diabetic coma…I may have only heightened the hyperglycemic attack because I then had an apple.
Dinner was sushi (macro vegan rolls with the texturized protein and organic veggies)
Also, I tried a new product from our WF. It was organic edamame and tofu (the left on the picture) and it was GOOD. I think I may add this into my regular dinner rotation. As usual the sushi was yum yum (I had 2 of the containers, so at 6 pieces per container, it’s like 2 mega rolls).
