Eeek! I’m behind with the highlights posts. Kyle was (is) out of town so I didn’t get around to uploading pics, but here are a few from last week.
We’ve been spending lots of time at our friend’s pool. They have a dog, which excites P like nothing else in the world. He loves dogs almost as much as garbage trucks.
Range = 1 mile.
This is SO me. It makes Kyle insanely nervous that I drive the car until there’s nothing but gas fumes left in the tank, but I swear I do it every dang time. I took the above photo to text to Kyle at work. He made me text him back once I had gas so he knew I was safe.
After lusting after the $$$$$ raw coconut macaroons at Whole Foods for weeks (months?) I finally made my own. Dramatic much? But seriously, I don’t know what took me so long.
I think there’s nothing that makes me happier than eating dessert and watching Homeland with Kyle. We just started Homeland (season 1) and we are obsessssssed. We talk to each other about the plot lines all day long. As if we are involved in it. We are going to need season 2 really soon.
New toy! I love it so much. I sliced a cucumber in 5 seconds yesterday and it blew my mind. And if you were wondering, yes, I’m trying my hand at pickling.
TBD.
He will only eat green beans if they are straight from the plant. I guess it’s a good thing he likes being outside and gardening.
Major smoothie phase going on right now. The fact that it’s 90 degrees by 8 am may have something to do with it.
Mr. giggles
Homeland is amazing!! I watched most of the first season but trailed off because of school. I definitely need to go watch some more!
OK, P is just too darn adorable! Where did you find those tennis shoes he has on with the blue laces?! I’m in love. When did he officially start walking? Hunter is still working on it. He’s a little behind, but I’m not going to get too concerned. He’ll get there when he’s ready. And yes, Hunter is totally on a green smoothie kick lately too. I’m loving it since he can get pretty much his entire day’s worth of fruits and veggies in one smoothie.
Major smoothie kick over here right now too. Mr.Giggles is so cute 😉
the shoes are from target – i think they still have them. he didn’t walk until 15.5 months. hunter will get there when he’s ready. 🙂
I love P’s Led Zep shirt!
Just to warn you, after season 1 Homeland gets pretty bad. It went from being the best show I’d ever seen to virtually unwatchable. I don’t want you to be as bummed as we were. I just stopped in the middle of season 2. But I’ll never forget the time I shared with season one and how amazing it is.
I also play the gas game. Right now I have 0 miles left and drove on fumes for a while to get home before Finley fell asleep in the car. I despise getting gas for some reason.
Good luck with the pickling!
I’d love it if you would share the raw coconut macaroon recipe!
P’s Led Zeppelin shirt is AWESOME!!!!
Make popcicles out f the green smoothies. Great for teething and hot days.
omg! this made me miss my kiddos so much. I need to hug them and I am at work. Enjoy it they grow up too fast. Way too fast!!
Ditto!
Hi elise it’s your aunt shelley — About the garbage trucks– can he say that . Cause in Palos Verdes
either Matt or Andy used to call them “gubba twucks” ( ask Jeff,or Matt, but I think it was Andy{andy was born in Torrance the yr we moved the y} I think he liked them. {Does he like Milo and Kona or are they too big} or andy’s wanda- liscious.
I drove my dad’s car in high school- it had a broken gas gauge he failed to mention. So it ran out of gas at 1/4 tank. Which was fun. After several running out of gas incidents i was scarred for life! I always get gas at 1/4 tank now regardless of what car i’m driving….
Love the smoothies, lots of those in my life lately.
he’s getting so big!! absolutely adorable.
and totally relate on the gas…love that range feature.
i asked my dad and he couldn’t remember either but he knew “gubba twucks” immediately. hilarious. the apple doesn’t fall far…
hilarious. I’m dying just thinking about it.
