My parents went to pick out our new puppy yesterday! I say “our” but I don’t live at home anymore, so it’s really theirs. But since it took over 3 months for all 5 family members to agree on the name, it’s safe to say it’s the family puppy.
We had a German Shepherd when I was growing up, too. So we really wanted another.
My mom holding Milo.
Could he BE any cuter???
He’s only 4 weeks old now, so we have to wait ‘til he’s a bit older (and no longer breast feeding) to bring him home. We are also getting a Golden Retriever, too (in about 2 months).
Anyways, last night after I turned off the computer and got ready for bed, I suddenly got a second wind. Good thing I had the likes of Blair Waldorf, Ricki Lake, and my homegirl Chelsea Lately to keep me company since Kyle was at work well past midnight (poor guy).
Because I went to bed pretty late, I slept in a bit more than usual today (9 am). Regardless, today started the same as the majority of my days…with coffee of course!
Java lurve plus multi-bran VitaTop muffin with massive amounts of EB added on top (I swear it melted a bit more post-photo). I think VitaTops are best when toasted, although K’s parfait action does look pretty bossy.
This apple was a crunchy motha! Just the way I like it 🙂
Amy, you are the SHIZ. Overpriced, yes. But tasty, furreal.
Organic beans and rice are good…but add a heap of avocado, and that’s a PARTAY in my mouth.
Zoom. Zoom.
After lunch, I decided to take advantage of the nice weather – so off to the park I went! I was rocking out to Dookie, dreaming of Billie Joe, and totally hittin’ my stride…I was in the zone…ahh lovely exercise. It was perfect running weather, too – blue skies and mild sunshine. About 4 miles into the loop I started felt like I needed to find a bathroom, but I ignored it and forged ahead, then another mile in I decided to alter my route to get home sooner (ummm, yeah, fill in the blank). My shortcut shaved a mile off the loop, so adding in the distance to and from the park, I think I ran about 6 miles.
I wasn’t ready to stop exercising, so after my mini bathroom break, I headed to the gym to continue my exercise sesh. I did another 45 minutes on the elliptical followed by abs and arms. It was fabulous.
When I got back home my tummy was begging me for food.
Dried papaya spears and pineapple rings to the rescue!
After I showered and got myself all gussied up presentable, I headed out. I snacked on a Berries GoMega odwalla bar while I stocked up on groceries (don’t judge, staring at food works up an appetite). I was going to do a few more errands, but then it started to rain. WTF? I raced back home for the second time today, dragging my groceries behind me and cursing the stupid weather under my breathe to nobody in particular the whole way home (I easily could have been mistaken for a crazy person).
I should have known better, I mean, why wouldn’t it rain? It’s not like it was 75 degrees and sunny the entire morning – oh wait, yes it was!
What’s that saying? “Fool me once…”
East coast weather – 1 Elise’s hair – 0
Anyways, I did some cooking (which I am very excited to reveal tomorrow) until dinner time rolled around.
Not exactly revolutionary, but good nonetheless.
Spinach salad, red bell pepper slivers, BN squash (oven baked the LovIN way) and a TOFU ball that I got at WF.
Ahh – too many ball jokes are circling in my head right now for me to pick from!
It was unbelievable. It broke apart fairly easily, but wasn’t greasy or dense inside, just tofu-y. As you can see, the outside was covered in sesame seeds and bronzed to perfection. I wish I had gotten more than one!!
The best part of the night, however, was not food related (gasp). It was the amazingly spectacular train wreck of a reunion special that the Real Housewivesbitches of NYC provided. (The ladies of the Jerz weren’t too bad either).
All this complex material to ponder…my brain needed more fuel.
Life is a bowl of cherries mixed fruit.
Peanut butter-y toast was a nice way to end the day.
MILO MILO MILO! HOW INCREDIBLY CUTE!
That tofu ball looks interesting!
I’m finishing my own batch of b-nut fries RIGHT NOW. I also am finishing some balls, though mine are meatless and from this Trader named Joe.
I love your puppy. I just want to squeeze that little furball. Maybe that was the dog I dreamt about last night…weird!
Ah man, that tofu ball looks amazing. I wonder if they’re as good as Schwedy balls;)
Milo is so precious!
I do love those Amy’s burritos despite the heft price tag. I guess you get what you pay for with those at least!
I CAN’T WAIT to catch up on Housewives!
Milo is sooooo cute! I love German Sheps….they are such good dogs. That tofu ball looks awesome too…we don’t have a WF around here…wonder where I can get one…
Little Milo is the cutest!!! Oh my goodness, I NEED a puppy!!!
East coast weather + my hair = FRIZZ!! I hear you on that one!!
I am embarrassed to say I love the Real Housewives. They always play the marathon episodes of it on Bravo, and I get sucked into them every time!! I can’t believe I missed the NYC reunion though, BUMMER!!
Great job on the run AND the gym. You rock girl!!
OH. MY. GAWD! What a cutie pie!! I just want to squeeze him!
I’m glad Charm School could keep your attention while workin’ on yo’ fitness! I laid in bed while I watched it 😉
I may need to try the Vita’s and EB now – that looks amazing! Old skool Green Day! 😀
Tofu ball?! Your uni-ball looks delicious. NY reunion was redic in the best way possible!
That dog is ADORABLE. I hope you can hang out with it a lot!!

Ummmm, no–that dog could not be any cuter! I had a German Shepard/Alaskan Malamute mix growing up, and she looked *exactly* like a wolf. She was such a sweetie!
You are a cardio queen!
