If it’s a Valentine’s Day present you’re looking for, it’s a present you’re gonna get.
When I made this vegan triple coconut “cheesecake” a couple of weeks ago, several people commented that they had no clue where to get coconut flour.
Ask and you shall receive.
Tropical Traditions has offered to give one lucky reader a 1 kg bag of organic coconut flour (identical to what I used in this recipe).
My recipe is crazy good, but there are so many other delicious ways to use coconut flour.
I’ve been adding it to my oats at the very end of the cooking process and it makes them taste like cake batter.
With some extra shredded coconut sprinkled on top and a chopped pear – how else would you start your Friday?!
To enter, all you have to do is comment below telling me a Valentine’s Day memory. I don’t care if it has to do with a significant other or not. It can be super sappy and romantic, or it can be all about how you think V-Day is a ridiculous conspiracy created by Hallmark…just share anything that comes to your mind. 🙂
You have until noon on Monday, February 14th, 2011 to enter at which point I’ll choose a winner randomly.
Extra entry for those who tweet: @elisehippie Valentine’s Day coconut giveaway – enter here http://bit.ly/aKCNI8
[Make sure you leave a separate comment telling me you tweeted]
Another additional entry to the person who can figure out what is wrong with the above picture. Hint: it doesn’t have to do with my breakfast.
When we were in college, my boyfriend and I were both broke students. He made me a mix cd and dinner from scratch. I remember sitting in his room at candelit dinner and the sheer effort and love that went into his gestures will stick with me for a long time.
I would love to experiment with this! Really, the truth is I’m game for anything that tastes like cake batter.
watching movies with my sister~
When I was little my dad would make up little treat boxes full of candy for my sister and I on Valentine’s day. My mom would always put a little gift out on the kitchen table by our seats for us to open with breakfast. Those were my favorite Valentine’s Days ever!
I know WHERE to get coconut flour, I just can’t afford it, lol. I would love to win!
A valentine’s day memory? In 2nd grade I had strep throat and stayed home from school crying because I was going to miss out on the valentines day party…boo-hooo. My mom felt bad for me and bought me a new outfit, and I was happy again, lol!
Courtney
Freshman year in high school my boyfriend set me a dozen red roses during latin class, and my teacher asked me if they were from my dad. I was a bit mortified!
Omigoshhh best givewaway ever. Just sayin’
My favorite V-day memory is actually when I helped my brother plan out this elaborate plan for his then-girlfriend.
We had to get her car keys and distract her while he put rose petals all over her car and her dashboard. Then he put a bunch of clues leading her to the trunk where more flowers and chocolates awaited.
I’ve never had a hopeless romantic so I figured why not help the one who I’m related to. 🙂
My favorite Valentine’s Day memory would definitely be the Godiva Chocolate Heart boxes my dad gets me every year. He’s in love with their stuff but won’t ever buy it for himself, so every year on Valentine’s Day, my mom and I come home to chocolate heart boxes lieing on our beds-best thing ever! xoxox
shoot, sorry I gave my old email by accident, hopefully you’ll still get this!
I would say last years Valentines Day..me and my guy were sitting on my floor, eating cheesecake and drinking wine while watching a movie….simple but so memorable.
xoxo
Lo
Making homemade Valentines for school every year in grade school with rubber cement and paper doilies!
My favorite Valentine’s Day memories are from when I was younger and my mom would always leave my sister and I little gifts and chocolates that we would find in our room on the morning of the 14th. Now it’s just a good excuse to eat extra chocolate!
I also tweeted!
When I was six my very 1st boyfriend got me an angel bath bomb, roses and a handmade card, so sweet!
Great giveaway and I read your blog religiously – LOVE it!
Xxx
hmmm favorite memory…
Well, when I was in elementary school I had to make a box or bag every V-day to hold all the cards that me and my classmates would pass around – V-day was a BIG deal for some reason – and I remember that I always wanted older friends. Not a year older, but 4-5 years! Well I remember that a couple of the older kids that put up with me made me really sweet cards and snuck them into my box, and I felt SO. COOL. I got those 6-7th graders to give me cards? I was the bomb!
fave vday memory?
eating tons and tons of those vday sweet-tart things in grade school. and reading slogans like “be mine” printed on them.
i love coconut flour!! i make my GF vegan pancakes with it.
Hahaha this is a great question! In junior high school my boyfriend and my best friend’s boyfriend were best friends so it was perfect for hanging out. For Valentine’s day we got them both build-a-bears with little recorders inside of us screaming “we love you!!!” Cheesy? You bet. Our relationships as boyfriends and girlfriends didn’t last too long but we stayed good friends. Six years later they still have those bears! 😀
My best memories from Valentines Day come from my high school theatre class. We would stay after school and get dressed up. We would all put together mini performances about love to perform for each other and then have dinner and dance, it was always so nice!
Just tweeted!
Every since we were little my dad would be my sister and I chocolate and flowers and my mom would always give us a special pair of Valentines underwear (my personal fave were the ones that were shaped as an actual heart and a thong) gotta love mom’s!
Valentine’s Day — I figure I gave myself to my hubby almost 30 years ago, so we just enjoy dinner together — usually at home, because restaurants are TOO crowded on Valentine’s Day. Last year was a great one, though. We celebrated the day before with another couple and had the wine-pairing dinner at Red, White and Bluez (I think that’s the right spelling) in Pasadena! Definitely not anywhere near vegan, but what a great way to spend time with wonderful friends — and spending it with the love of my life.
And I’m going to say that maybe you don’t do crosswords — or there are two identical “answer” crosswords in the paper! Gosh, I just had a glass of wine, so who knows!!!
I would love to win! Hmm, a Valentines memory…..In 8th grade, my boyfriend stuffed my locker at school with a dozen roses, a huge bear and a Christina Aguilera CD 🙂 We had big lockers.
And I tweeted!! I really do want to try to make that cheesecake!!
On what’s wrong with the picture — you’re using a pen and not a pencil? I use pencil so I can erase like crazy! My parents are way smarter than I am — they use pens. What a mess, though, when you do make a mistake!!
So many v-day memories… As a kid, my aunt sent an enormous (like… 4 ft across) velvety heart pillow each to my sis and me. We had no clue what to do with them, but they were hilarious! Might stll be in my parents’ garage…
my memory is my husband telling me on v-day of last year that he thinks the day is a hallmark holiday and we shouldn’t celebrate it. ha.
I loved filling out the little cards in primary and giving them to everybody in my class! So cute!!!!
Oh and I think whats wrong with your crossword puzzle is your doing it with a pen and not a pencil!
Hi Elise!
I would say the best V-Day I had was the time I found a tiny black kitten under a car on the street at night (I live in Philadelphia). My family took the terrified wet little kitten in, gave it food and a name, and it has lived with us in our home until this day.
Also– is it using a pen to do the crossword?
I’ve been dying to try this coconut flour 🙂
Thanks.
Helen
And I tweeted the loco for coco giveaway.
I don’t do anything on Valentine’s Day but sometimes I remember to wear red or pink 🙂
I remember back in second grade, I got a valentine’s day card from a boy I liked and felt so happy until I realized he gave out cards for everyone in the class!!!
I think Valentines Day is great when you are single, but when you get married…. your anniversary supercedes Valentines Day. I want to celebrate my big love on a more personal date. 🙂 This is just my own personal thought on Valentines Day, I will be married 23 yrs to my highschool sweetie the week after Valentines Day, so happy Un-Valentines Day!!
One of my valentines day memories is when my mom used to lay out presents for my sisters and I every Valentines Day – it was like a mini-Christmas – we loved it of course!
I had to work and my boyfriend surprised me by singing me love songs to me at my staff meeting.
mmm well my last boyfriend which was way too long ago for me to even have a memory surprised me at school and bought/gifted me with these amazing boots that i was really wanting but had no idea he knew i wanted them 🙂
taweeeeeeeeeeeted
My favorite V day memory is from today. We are having a weight loss challenge at work, so everyone is eating well and exercising. Today, we had some parties for Valentine’s Day. I can’t tell you how many crazy sugary things I had to say no to, but one kid had made some sugar cookies shaped as storm troopers and Boba Fett. I couldn’t say no. They were just too adorable. :]
i remember back in the day in elementary school everyone would buy those boxes of “valentines” with different themes (ie. disney or whatever was popular back then) and would give them to everyone in the class…it was nice to get a bunch of valentines!
Here in Japan Valentines day is separated into two days. On Feb. 14th women give their significant others, crushes abd close male colleagues (sometimes bosses) chocolates. It is seriously a full on chocolate company created holiday. Then, on Mar 14th (called White Day) the men reciprocate. The men used to have to spend double the amount of the gift they receive but not so much anymore unless they are partners. They do romantic dates on Feb 14th too but it’s mostly about chocolate. I love eating the chocolate hubby brings home from work on Valentines day. We don’t celebrate it ourselves so the chocolate is welcome.
i usually like celebrating V-day the day before too. so crowded on the 14th. as for the crossword portion, you’re close with the second guess…i am a crossword FIEND though (so it’s not the first guess).
My first V-day with my husband I drove 4 hours to surprise him, got stuck in 2 hours of traffic and no reservations. We picked a funky vegan restaurant (neither of us being vegan) and had an amazing meal. I got up the next morning at 4am to get to work on time! From that V-day on we switch one of us makes dinner and one gets a gift, which is a tradition I love (especially since I get the gift this year 🙂
that is so cool!! thanks for sharing.
thats awesome.
yup. 23 yrs is a way bigger deal for sure. happy early anniversary!
Throughout high school, I never received a singing telegram nor a rose from a boy on Valentine’s Day. There would always be this one girl in my class who got a dozen roses and hundreds of singing telegrams! Just thinking about it saddens me! lol
nope!
hahaha. christina aguilera. i love it.
no i use pens all the time (im a pro)
the first memory i thought of was elementary school, bringing candies and valentines for everyone 🙂
nope, i use pens all the time…
you were closer when you mentioned that there were 2 answer puzzles above it.
check out the down clues.
oooo. thats a great tradition!
Looks like one of the answer puzzles is superimposed over the “down” clues.
Oh, and a bittersweet (but still sorta wonderful) v-day memory: I was about 2 weeks past a depressing breakup, so some single friends from college and I got together, drank wine, ate obscene amounts of crackers with cheese and hummus, watched movies, and played board games. Some years you just gotta go with the single-gal solidarity.
last year for valentine’s day a huge group of my friends went out for a FEAST at a chinese restaurant in chinatown – it happened to be chinese new year on the same day and we were all single, so it turned out to be such a fun night despite not having valentines!
ding ding ding. i couldnt do the puzzle because all the down clues were covered with the mis-printed solutions puzzle from the previous day. grrrrr…
two years ago, my boyfriend tried to teach me to snowboard as my valentine’s gift. we both nearly killed each other out of frustration. this year, when i went skiing with his family, we invested in ski school. best choice ever.
i want to make cake batter oats and coconut cheesecake!
when me and my 3 sisters were kids, my dad ALWAYS bought us those heart shaped chocolate boxes from fannie mae…. !
the first valentine’s day my now-husband and I spent together, he took me to a really nice restaurant and, when we were seated, there was a huge glass vase of flowers on our table. I got to carry the huge glass vase around town for the rest of the night 🙂
Know what really takes the sting out of a ruined crossword puzzle effort? Sending coconut flour to a fellow nurse. Not disrespecting the random drawing, just sayin’ though. 😉
ha, i had a fun valentine’s day with a boyfriend once. it started off at a really classy, upscale restaurant. the rest of the night i’ll definitely remember for the rest of my life– we had fun and that’s all that counts, right?!
i have NO idea what’s wrong with that picture… i don’t even think guessing will do any justice…
Having my mom give me a stuffed koala bear that I still sleep with three years ago back in my single days 🙂
I would love to try coconut flour…it seems like there are so many yummy uses for it.
My favorite Valentine’s Day memory happens every year – no matter how old I get, or whether I’m single or in a relationship, my dad never fails to buy me my favorite chocolates and a stuffed animal of some sort. I’m definitely a daddy’s girl!
I used to love decorating shoe boxes in elementary school for Valentine’s Day. On February 14 we’d all go around the room and place a Valentine in everyone’s box. 🙂
I also tweeted for ya!
thanks for holding this awesome giveaway! i have been dying to get my hands on some coconut flour ever since seeing your cheesecake recipe! my favorite valentine’s memory was actually last year when a group of my best girl friends and I got together, cooked a vegan feast and watched our favorite sex and the city episodes!
My dad used to get me and my sister gifts for Valentine’s day when we were little. Usually it was just something small like a reese’s pb shaped heart and a box of chocolate, but one year he got us kites! I’ll never forget. 😀
I would say the thing wrong with the picture is that there are two exactly the same “answer” sections of the CW puzzle!
My favorite Valentine’s Day memories are always those spent with friends.
Hmmm, favorite valentines day memory…probably going out to a ridiculous dinner with my ex-bf the first year we were together. It was ridiculous because we got to the restaurant, saw how crowded it was, and decided we would really rather be at home watching tv and eating ice cream. That’s what the day is all about though, right…just enjoying being together.
I’m intrigued by coconut flour. I’ve never tried it, but it must be amazing b/c I believe the coconut can do no wrong. And your cheesecake looked delish.
The first year my bf and I were dating, his friend from London was visiting over Valentine’s Day so we couldn’t celebrate. It wasn’t a huge deal, but I was slightly bummed. So instead of splurging on a fancy, lavish dinner my bf decided to get me shoes. It was really sweet and I ended up having the best night out with a group of us. Plus, I had on cute new shoes. 🙂 Sometimes romantic dinner for two is overrated.
There is no coffee with it 🙂
Are they really expecting you to complete the down column without clues? Haha… You are very brave to use a pen, my friend. I do, but I always end up getting frustrated if I make a single mistake and quit. I am hard on myself. Not something I am proud of, but I do LOVE crosswords. V-Day story… I purchased roses for 2 different girls in high school and experienced the best/worst day of my 16th year… There is more to this story, but all that you should know is that it involves lots of chocolate, arguing, angry phone calls, a break-up, and a new relationship that eventually led to me dating one of my best friends for quite awhile!
My boyfriend surprised me with beautiful pink roses in a vase at work. It was pretty sweet! I would love to make the cake batter oats.
my fav V-day memory was when i was skiing in Austria with my family and i woke up to a GIANT basket full of chocolate and cards (I was 10 years old) but it was the BEST thing ever because then I got to spend my day skiing in Austria!
i tweeted!
My fiance is a chef so he always works valentines day. Our first valentine’s day he made the effort to get me a stuffed frog (?) and a cute card and that’s pretty much all he has done in 7 years, lol!
My funniest (to me) valentines day memory is from a few years ago. It wasn’t until valentines day that I found out that my brother had been dating a girl for 3 weeks! I asked him what he was up to that night and he casually said “Going to dinner with Amy.” hahaha. Brothers crack mr up.
I tweeted! (seachelle07)
A couple of weeks ago my lovebug & I went to Costco for our weekly grocery trip (& to snag some fabulouso samples)… We decided to check out the appliance section for no reason & of course, being a girl, there was something I immediately “needed”… A bea-uuu-tiful Cuisinart convection/ broiler toaster oven! A little background: I am a senior in college, living in an itsy-bitsy studio apartment in Boston, & recently entered the food blog world [instant addiction :P]. Nonetheless, my lovebug [distance relationship, lives back home where I’ll be returning after graduation in May] is coming up this weekend & said I should expect to make an “extra special purchase” at Costco this weekend! 😀 I would love the opportunity to use my new “oven” and cook some deliciouso recipes using the coconut flour!
Best part of V-day? Being single! Really though, it’s baking cupcakes for friends. My fave 🙂
Tweeted!
Where is your coffee!?!?
I love coconut flour!!
I remember when I was little my grandmother used to send me Valentine’s Day packages in the mail. It was always so much fun to get mail when you’re little, especially one that contains presents and stuffed animals. 🙂
hahaha…i think ill give you an honorary extra entry for that comment (although its not what i was referring to)
this valentine’s day, my friends and i did a secret exchange, and i had a cake made for and secretly delivered to me! it was super fun and made me feel loved 🙂
awwww…thats so sweet! [welcome to the food blog world 🙂 ]
RIGHT?!?! ugh. talk about frustrating.
two valentines? uh, hey there mr. hot commodity! at least the end result was a relationship with a good friend…
haha. nice observation. not the one i was thinking of, but a key problem nonetheless!
that is super cute! what good friends 🙂
Yum, I’ve been dying to try coconut flour! My favorite valentine memory is when my college boyfriend bought tons of those silly elementary v day cards and wrote all sorts of sweet messages all over each one and hid them all over my dorm room. I found them for months.
Last year my then boyfriend (now fiancé) surprised me by driving me to a secret location, which turned out to be a 2 hour massage/spa experience. So sweet! He then picked me up & forced me to relax on the couch for the rest of the day while he made me a lovely dinner.
I can think of a couple things that may be wrong with that photo.. No words filled in the puzzle yet when we all know you’re a crossword champ! Or that you’re using pen? Not odd for me, my grandpa always used to use pen and I guess the habit got passed on to me!
Awesome giveaway. Would love to win and give coconut flour a try. Cost is prohibitive for an “experimental” ingredient!
Valentine’s day = candy in my mind. Chocolates, those gross hearts. Just the thought of VAlentine’s day gets my sweet tooth going!
My favorite Valentine’s day memory? While I was away from my boyfriend of the time, he gave me an envelope of notes to open at specific times throughout the day, wishing me a happy Valentine’s Day… it was adorable! 🙂
The years I was single in college, my dad would come and take me out to dinner. We love Ruby Tuesday’s salad bar, so that’s where we’d always go.
I always remember making valentintes cards in elementary school and making little mailboxes. I miss being little- oh the good ol’ days :). Great giveaway!
My husband and I got engaged on Valentine’s Day 9 years ago. I was totally surprised and not expecting it! So, V-Day is special to us for that reason, though we don’t get into the whole chocolates and flowers tradition…
As for what is wrong with the picture, I think you are starting to fill out a crossword puzzle with a pen, which is just crazy!
senior year of high school i had a pretty great valentine’s day dinner at red lobster with my boyfriend. it was a cool thing to do at the time!
Tweeted!
The first memory that comes to mind was my first V-Day with my ex. I cooked spaghetti for the first time that came out perfectly and we ate in my dorm room dining area/living room by candlelight. Then we spent the rest of the night talking and eating chocolate! 🙂
Hey girl, it’s kim in San Diego. In 4th grade my friend raymond got me my first ‘real’ valentines gift. It was a sesame street lunch box full of candy and hair accessories. For an eight year old, he did very well.
mmmmm coconut!
adios.
tweeted it up!
when i was in high school, my dad sent me v day roses… to my school. now i appreciate how sweet he was trying to be, but at the time i was mortified. he will be the only one sending me anything again this year haha… coconut flour as a consolation? 🙂
My best Valentines memory is the year my husband proposed on Valentines day! I thought we weren’t going to get married and I was ok with that but deep down really wanted to be married to him. So he took me out to dinner at a fancy restaurant and after we ate we were just sitting around and then he suddenly he “dropped” his napkin and I was looking all around trying to help him find it I didn’t even realize he was down on one knee by my chair with a ring!! When I finally noticed he was there I asked “What are you doing?!!?” He told me how much he loved me and all that mushy stuff and asked me to marry him. I was in total shock and disbelief I kept saying no, no, as in no way I can’t believe this is actually happening!! I snapped out of it and realized what just happened and of course said “Yes!” I felt like we were the only two people there even though later I noticed we had quite the audience watching us. It was a really special and romantic evening. We have been happily married (with 4 kiddos, and 2 dogs) ever since. I will always remember that day.
I hate Vday and it IS a conspiracy! And I think what is wrong with the photo is that the two puzzles with answers are identical.
Awesome giveaway! I’ve been DYING to make the cheesecake, but was bummed because I couldn’t find coconut flour!
One of my favorite V-day memories is my mom’s tradition of making heart-shaped sugar cookies with pink strawberry icing. When we wake up on Valentine’s Day morning, there is a big cookie on the table for each member of the family, personalized with our names in icing in my mom’s lovely cursive handwriting. Even though I’m an adult now, she still makes me one- and one for my boyfriend, too!
One of my favorite memories is from when my boyfriend and I were in a long distance relationship. We couldn’t see each other on Valentines day so I spent it with my girlfriends. I felt so blessed to have so many amazing relationships in my life!
as a young girl, i remember eating chocolate turtles and watching hollywood classics w/ my sister
I would LOVE to win some coconut flour! I love coconut and have recently tried coconut butter (and it’s yum-o!), but I have yet to try/see coconut flour! I’d be down for some 🙂
I remember having to buy Valentines for everyone in class back in Elementary school…those were the days. In second grade, I addressed a card to “Brain” when really, his name was Brian. He was a little upset, but my teacher told him, “No, that just means you’re smart!” Hahaha.
Valentines Day is more fun when you are just starting to date someone….the pressure it creates makes it not seem as corny as it really is….that being said…I was married to an English guy who said they don’t celebrate V-Day in the UK and refused to jump on the bandwagon…I actually believed him for 10 years until we were there for Valentines one year and you know what…IT’S JUST AS MUCH AS A MARKETING CON OVER THERE AS WELL. He duped me big time…no wonder were aren’t married anymore
oh, i just tweeted!
Last year for V-Day, the bf and I went out to lunch w his grandpa. Very awkward for many reasons, including that his grandpa didn’t even realize it was V-Day; also, this makes me sound awful but I only went because I knew it would mean a ‘free lunch’ of vegan orange chicken for me!
Tweeted it!
My mom continues to send me a cute “kids” valentines day card every year, which is super sweet.
It looks like the paper printed the “previous weeks answer” right over the clues for the current crossword! Makes it a little harder to finish the puzzle…
My husband proposed marriage on Valentines Day in 1985. We had our 25th wedding anniversary last June. : ) I also have been dying to try coconut flour (and peanut flour, for that matter.)
It’s gotta be the pen. Unless you’re perfect, I’m thinking a pencil is a better plan.
ouch. thats so lame! what a loser.
im perfect 🙂
haha. (kidding). but that isnt it.
You got it! So frustrating!!
dude, you will NEVER sound awful for seeking out a free meal. im exactly the same…i can sniff out a free lunch a mile away. and ill put up with some pretty crappy company to get it too, ha. (not saying that your bf’s g-pa was bad company…)
thats really cute!
i want that v-day!!! wow. what an awesome one – well done to your BF. as for the crossword, i use pens all the time…the problem is in the previous day’s solution puzzle is covering all the down clues for this day’s puzzle. BOO!!
isnt it funny how you kinda black out in the moment?!? thats so cute that you were so surprised. i was so out of it when kyle proposed that i dont even remember it…he later told me my response was “i guess so” (woops!)
Last year, I had a picnic dinner with my boy overlooking the Austin skyline 🙂
one year in college when we were all single, we decided to celebrate with boxed wine (franzia, zymfandel)…and play drinking games with this beverage of choice. multiple games, addition of beer after wine gone, and using regular drinking glasses led to a few pukes, hangovers galore, and me never drinking that shiz again. but oh so fun at the time 🙂
I had shingles on Valentine’s Day two years ago. It was so painful, and my boyfriend and I were long distance at the time. Kind of a sucky way to celebrate, haha….fortunately I’m not a huge Vday fan, so it wasn’t too bad!
3 Years ago, on my first V-Day with my boyfriend, he got us his & her matching Slankets… BEFORE Snuggies came on the landscape and they became the laughing stock of America. What a trendsetting, romantic gift, no? 😉
Funniest V-Day memory: back in college, I read about an awesome restaurant with a romantic prix fixe dinner for two for $55. The boyfriend and I got all excited and dolled up and had a wonderful dinner, only to discover that the price was in fact $55 for each person. As broke college students, this was a mistake we couldn’t well afford, but we made the best of it.
My favorite Valentine’s Day memory would definitely be the Godiva Chocolate Heart boxes my dad gets me every year! so sweet =]
& where’s the one C of the CC combo? [coffee & crossword]
In high school, watching Ten Things I Hate About You and eating cookies with a group of single girl friends.
When I was abroad my junior year of college, Ari and I skyped on Valentine’s Day. After I showed him the throw pillow I got for him (yeah, I know), he sent me a file of a music video that was a montage of photos from our Skype chats with a song called “Veggie” (chorus: “Veggie! You’re the kind of giiiiiirl, for a boy like meeeeeee”). It was pretty awesome.
tweet tweet!
I miss elementary school valentines day when everyone decorated a shoe box and came home with fun cartoon themed valentines cards and candy!
A few years ago, when I was single, a bunch of my girl friends and I, all went out to dinner on Valentine’s Day. We went to Hooters because we knew it would be the only places in town that would not have sappy couples at every table and would mostly likely have single men. We were right and it was one of the best Vday’s I ever had!
I started celebrating Valentine’s Day early, so already I have gone to a Patiserrie and eaten french macaroons (rose and lavender flavored!) and worn 3 pink and red outfits. 🙂
yes! nice one 🙂
well done! why wait?
hahahha. that is hilarious!!
good point. although it is unpictured…trust, it was there 🙂
well look at him! such a trend setter!
blech franzia doesnt even count as zinfandel.
yuck. that sounds horrible. maybe the worst v-day ever. im like you though, kinda feel whatever about the holiday anyway.
the daily bruin screwed up and put two answers for the day before’s crossword! lol.
i thnk the best valentines memory i have is when i wrote a poem for my mommy. she loved it.
This is an awesome giveaway!
My favorite Valentine’s memory was how I spent last year’s holiday. My boyfriend and I wanted to give back, so we made a “pancake palace” and cooked up pancakes for everyone who was snowed in our dorm!
This year for valentine’s day my parents celebrated early and had a wonderfully romantic dinner, but when they were driving home their car broke down and they had to get it towed!
And the problem is you’re doing the crossword with a pen! I could only do it with a pencil 🙂
Thanks! We did our weekly Costco trip yesterday & used the new oven last night to cook us an early Valentine’s Day dinner 🙂
In 6th grade, a nerdy boy walked into my homeroom and dropped off a valentine on my desk and walked right back out of the room. My friends and I all read the Valentine and made fun of him. I felt really bad about it because that took guts. A few years later, I found him online and messaged him an apology.
My husband ordered me a few pairs of hanky panky lace undies from Amazon last year. Our 13-year old son checked the mail after school and thought the small package in the mailbox was the skull candy headphones I’d ordered for him a few days earlier. Poor kid. He is now scarred for life.
Definitely need a pencil…not a pen for the crossword.
A favorite Valentine’s day memory of mine was last year when I made homemade Valentine’s day cards all night with the five, seven, and nine year-old I was babysitting! Screw a romantic date, this was so much more fun!
you took my ridiculous holiday made up by hallmark! gr. i guess i will have to go with: it’s a day that men go out of their way to be romantic. but shouldn’t that be everyday?
I was 3000 miles away from my husband last year, caring for my sick grandma. After an afternoon out, we arrived at her doorstep to find not one, but two bouquets of flowers. One for me, one for her. He’s definitely a keeper.
Valentine’s Day last year was definitely the most memorable! I got a phone call at 2:30am from my sister’s boyfriend. He was in JAIL (!!!) for public intoxication and didn’t want to call my sister to come bail him out. I was nice, and helped him out. Luckily, they broke up soon after that.
hahaha WHAAAAT!!! thats crazy!
OK so you must mean noon PACIFIC time. Us East Coasters are going nuts here. Pick pick pick! LOL 😉
