Is there anything better than the weekend? Family time is the best time. I’m sorry to say I am a week behind here on the blog and don’t plan on attempting to catch up. It’s too much. I’ll share last Sunday’s eats because I did take photos and they are already uploaded, but after that I think I’ll skip right ahead to this Mother’s Day. We had a super low key weekend, but kept our tradition of going to Muir Woods alive. It was our best visit yet! Ok, I’ll get to that later.
Breakfast: Granola swimming in peanut butter before church.
Lunch: Kale from the garden with roasted Brussels sprouts, baby carrots, and the rest of the pecorino romano.
Dinner: Bon Appetit salmon sheet pan dinner with squash and miso mojo sauce
The miso mojo sauce was a new and lovely addition to the Asian inspired things I usually do with salmon.
I almost forgot to add the toasted pepitas! Second time in a row I’ve nearly overlooked the final topping to a dish! Brain fail.
This was a winner of a dish from BA, but I wish the sauce was a little thicker. It was so tasty, but hard to eat without basically licking your plate (which I am not above doing, but doesn’t set a good example for my kids in terms of table manners…). 😛
Dessert: chocolate plate of yummy bits and pieces
