This post will have zero to do with ketchup, I’m just in a weird mood.
Let’s CATCH UP.
Desserts are all I want to make this time of year. I need a good [but EASY] fudge recipe that doesn’t involve condensed milk. Anyone? Also, why does every brittle recipe require a candy thermometer. I am not going to do that, but I want brittle. Dilemmas.
Ok, so real food.
Ha. Still not quite the “real” food I was hoping to get to. But Costco just started carrying these for about half the price they usually are, so yeah, ummm watch out bank account.
Alright, last splurge / treat food I promise. Trader Joe’s has these for a hot second and then everyone snatches them up. I almost missed them. I freakin’ love popcorn (read: salt), but there’s something even more awesome about the Christmas tins with the multi-flavored variety sections that gets me. Kyle thinks they are gross and on par with fruitcake but I think he’s way off base. I plan on sharing none of it with him as punishment for his rude comments about my exceptional foodie taste. PS: fruitcake is gross. That we can agree on.
Apparently I have no real meals photographed so here’s a picture of our visit with Santa from last weekend.
As you can tell from his red eyes, his solo session wasn’t a huge success. But we did manage to get this awesome family shot.
And this is my little helper making a car out of our (unloaded) Costco purchases. If there’s anything he loves more than trucks/cars/all vehicles in motion it is helping mama unload groceries. And music. I put on some Christmas tunes and pushed him around the house and he was in heaven with this little trifecta.
