First fruitcake! [For me and the kids at least]
It was kinda good (minus the syrupy blobs on the top). I liked the spices and it was a lot denser than I thought it would be. I was picturing a panettone situation, but this was much better.

Remember that zoom cooking class I took with the kids last week?
I finally got around to putting it into practice over the weekend! It was just like kombucha….you read instructions 10000 times and it sounds sooo complicated and then you do it and realize it isn’t at all.
So now it’s sitting on the counter fermenting away. I will give it a few days before I taste test it to see if it’s ready to go in the fridge.
