Bummer your toaster is broken!I would be in a very dark place if that happened. Microwaves just don’t compare to me:)
So you’ve definitely gotten your fiber and Vitamin C I think for the day. Yay. Hopefully you will not turn orange π

amy from los angeles
Aw, shucks. I think you did a fine job. It’s quicker to post this way too, huh? π
Fact: it’s impossible to eat too many sweet potatoes and apples on one day.
I love that you love hummus as much as me! A good day isn’t REALLY a good day unless it is filled with lots and lots of hummus. I am intrigued by the black bean version, would love to try it. EVERYTHING looks good, as always!
Fact: You freaking rock π
Haha this was such a funny post. Those yellowish sweet potatos look quite intriguing!
Seriously, girlie, we are WAY overdue for a UWS Whole Foods excursion, I really want to try that Candle 79 seitan you’re always making me jealous with:)
Please tell me there’s really no such thing as sweet potato toxicity. I’ll be so sad!!! Now I’m totally craving one, btw π

Haha, I loved it.
I had my fair share of apples and sweet potatoes yesterday, too – and your consumption of made me feel better about my consumption. π
I don’t know about the whole sweet potato being the new apple thing, but I agree with the rest π I think the APPLE is the new apple. Enough said.
As I crunch away on an apple…

and there is no such thing as carbs in excess.
hopefully i will!!
yes. WAY quicker.
i agree! we are long long long overdue. email me your number.
youre in the clear! so sweet potato it up.
yes, but i also have an overly sensitive smoke detector. its a constant battle in the kitchen…
im not sure how “funny” i thought it was at the time, but yeah…not good planning on my part π
this post is hilarious! and makes me feel better about eating an entire Kabocha squash in one day!!! I feel the same way as you about apples too!!
<3 D
If I wasn’t orange already, you better believe I would down 5 sweet potatoes. Unfortunately, my mom looked at my hands the other day and went, “So, you’ve been eating carrots, huh?!” Guilty as charged. Do you think the whiteness of apples counteracts the orange tint? I hope so!
I thought this was a myth as well, until i had a bit too much beta-carotene one month while i was training and started to appear jaundice to my clients:) I assured them it was completely normal for a person who consumes copious amounts (pounds) of carrots, kabocha squash, pumpkin and of course sweet potatoes. I have to tell you that your old posts are a great way to kill time between class as well!! I find myself constantly searching for odwalla bars in EVERY SINGLE store i have been in now and my closest bet has been KO-wala chocolate bars, which were not vegan, unfortunately… Apparently south-western Ontario missed the vegan train. Send a shipment of some good food my way asap, please:)
