It’s no wonder people are scared of their significant other’s parents; with movies like Meet the Parents, in-laws get a pretty bad rap. Fortunately for me, this stereotype couldn’t be further from the truth. I just got back from a weekend+ getaway with Kyle’s family and I couldn’t be more thrilled to be joining his family than if they were the sole heirs to the Whole Foods chain. Not only are they amazingly accepting of my vegan lifestyle, but they go above and beyond to accommodate it, to the point of straight up spoiling me!… Read more >

Fact: I could wash down dirt with foamy coffee and still be happy. Fact: Spending 15 minutes trying to fix a broken toaster can lead you to dark places. Good thing God invented peanut butter for such moments. Fiction: A microwave is just as good as a toaster anyways. Fact: Apples + cinnamon = the perfect fall snack Fiction: Taking a cross-town bus after coffee and fiber loading is a smart idea. Fact: Bathrooms aren’t abundant on the Upper East Side. I can hardly keep my eyes open. Red-eye flights kinda suck, huh. But I guess all flights kinda suck. No matta, I’m back in the NYCizzle. I miss home already, but look at all the goodies I came home to!!! Let birthday week begin!! The first package was full of Averie’s raw vegan macaroons and donut holes, which smelled SO dang heavenly, I waited all of 5 seconds before digging into them. Oh, wow. I’m pretty jealous of her taste tester daughter – someone get this girl her own bakery. The macaroons were coconutty and… Read more >
