Orange you glad…

You didn’t work on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day?  I didn’t really mind it, since I got to celebrate early with my family.  On the 24th, I woke up early to sweat out a quick 20 minute Shred, which I followed up with a hearty tupperware full of overnight oats. I used 1/2 cup rolled oats and then mixed in an almost equal portion of canned pumpkin with only an itty bit of water.  This created a crazy thick consistency as it “gelled” overnight.  Other goodies included Tropical Traditions shredded coconut, dried cherries, and NuNatural liquid… Read more >

From drab to fab

In case you want a visual image with the post title, as you say it picture me snapping my fingers across my body with some serious sass.  And now roll your eyes. Ah well, we can’t all be divas. I’m pretty sure I was meant to be a Brit because in my book, 2 pm is – without fail – afternoon tea time (not to be confused with high tea, which in fact is dinner-time tea).  In any event, I had an almond milky Tazo chai tea… Read more >

And then it was time to taste…

I actually didn’t take too many pictures at the tasting pavilion because I was busy, well, tasting!  Here are the ones I do have, supplemented with ones borrowed from my roommates Danica, Holly, Susan, and Janetha. Before heading into the tasting, Kyle and my sister joined up with me (I’m not the only foodie in my family).  :)  So stripe-y.  We took some photos in the sunshine…and then the clock struck one and it was time to go.  Waiting for the event to start reminded me of being in a corral before a running race. … Read more >
