It’s September

You know you’re living the good life when a praying mantis occupies a large chunk of your afternoon… How about I kick off this post backwards with the most important meal of the day…DESSERT.  Is dessert a meal?  I guess it is if you have it the amount I do…MEAL IT IS! My friend bought me these because I did her a favor and they are SOOOOO GOOD!!  There are 12 in total, soooo who has guesses on how long they last?? For the people who have been asking me to take a photo of… Read more >

School is in session

School started (for P)!  It feels good. We went to Art Beast (his favorite place) on our last day of summer and really soaked up the time as a trio. Mr. P also had a special one on one day with Kyle over the weekend (because he and I had ours a few weeks ago).  V and I had a tea party, went swimming, and got ice cream together while the boys did their thing.  🙂 And decorated the wall paper for her cubby so that when her school starts next week she will feel… Read more >

50 photos of the week

When life gives you heaps of apples (leftover from a get together)…you make apple sauce.  No food waste when I’m around. I’ve made applesauce in the crock pot several times, but the instant pot was (you guessed it) even easier.  Mainly because it was so fast. The fastest weekend

Ok, I don’t know why but it seemed like Sunday night came way too quickly.  Did Saturday even happen? We went to Sausalito for a quick overnight.  After finishing all the Boxcar Children books, P is now well into The Magic Tree House series.  Once he learns to read, I may never see his face again…but for now, it’s allll about the library’s books on cd section.  Makes quiet time and road trips easy that’s for sure. We went to fish for dinner, which we’ve been to before, since it’s a few blocks from my sister’s place. … Read more >

Saying yes to the end of summer

Sorry I left you high and dry there for a few days.  The end of summer is getting a little crazy and I’m jut trying to prioritize the right stuff. Kyle was gone for a few days last week – I think I already mentioned that and blogged about the first couple solo nights – so now I’m picking up on the end of that stretch. I made nothing into something with fridge leftovers and it turned into an amazing dinner!  I’ll get to it in a sec. First, breakfast. I started out wanting to… Read more >
