Pizza and burgers

This girl!! Do you see how she eats mini bell peppers? Leaving nary a scrap behind. It’s like a science. It reminds me of how my sister eats corn on the cob. She is equally surgical with kernel removal. I realized I forgot to show Valley girl’s food choices for our special weekend with her. Pizza is definitely her favorite so we had that the first night. I made the dough the day before and then let it hang out in the fridge overnight so it was ready to go the next day. Her fave… Read more >

Cookbook recs

Waffle week went great! As if you had any doubts. šŸ˜‰ If you are looking for a great cookbook to gift someone (or yourself) this holiday season, let me recommend this one. Creamer drama & salad love

Well it appears there is a Silk soy creamer shortage in the world because I cannot find it ANYWHERE in Davis. This wouldn’t be as annoying if I could easily go to stores to search, but we are a hop skip and a jump from a full court press lockdown so I can’t just pop into every grocery store as a I please trying to track it down. Alas, I have settled for now on this… Why are soy creamers so hard to find now. Everything is coconut milk this and oat milk that. Keto… Read more >

My first carrot cake

This past weekend was our special two-on-one with Miss V and we had a blast! Like last time with P, we catered the weekend to what she likes best of all, like building legos, doing our nails, playing at the park, and baking. We watched tv in the hot tub and stayed up late with hot cocoa. I’ve had this carrot cake recipe bookmarked literally since the day it was published back in 2018. Which may sound insane to some (slash most) people, but I think there are others out there like me…are you guys… Read more >
