Hola Sevilla

My flight(s) to Spain were long.    I didn’t know it at the time, but in hindsight I can appreciate how lucky I was with both my seat assignment and the airline accommodations.  I managed to snooze through a majority of the first leg of the trip (from SFO to Philly).  In PA, my layover was just over an hour.  I think that’s the perfect amount of time between flights – bathroom, booze, board. The next leg of my journey was excellent.  I had an aisle seat in a three seat row and the middle… Read more >

Mickey mornings

Is there anything better than a Mickey pancake on a Monday morning?   If so, I’d really like to hear it! My first triathlon

I was always vaguely interested in doing a triathlon.  It was one of those things in the back of my mind that I thought sounded fun and intrigued me.  But, to be perfectly honest, I didn’t really envision it as a solo mission.  I clearly needed a push from an outside source.  A few months ago my dad forwarded me an email for a discount on a sprint triathlon.  I think the only thing he wrote in the body of the email was “are you joining me?” A few things went through my mind as… Read more >

My seven

You know that little challenge going around the blog world…where you list posts following seven criteria.  Well, mine were hard to recall because I’ve been blogging for a really long time, but I did my best.  Here ya go! *At the end I’m announcing the giveaway winner* Most beautiful post – I know this is a food blog, but my wedding posts (part 1, part 2, & part 3) were definitely the most beautiful to me.  Every time I look at the pictures from August 28th, 2010 I’m reminded why it was the most wonderful… Read more >
