Birthday Blog Takeover #7

I don’t think I could put into words how thankful I am to have veg-curious in-laws.  It’s one thing for your husband’s family to be accepting of your diet, but it’s a completely different thing to have them be interested enough to embrace it in their own lives.  I know they already wrote a joint post, but this one is just from Beverly.  It’s funny because I remember this story SO VIVIDLY (but somewhat differently).  Enjoy!   In & Outta Love On the HHH blog, many readers noted they wished their family embraced their veganism. … Read more >

Missed the previous guest posts? Check ‘em out…Kyle, Mom, Marie, In-Laws, Ethel This next one is from my bestie Alene.  If you read my blog with any frequency, then she really doesn’t need an introduction.  Enjoy! You guys have met my FPIC (foodie partner in crime) before… As my bestie, Ethel makes HHH appearances on the regular.  Especially now that we are in LA together 🙂 Of course she visited us in NYC too.   And traveled to Spain and France with me.  These days I get to see her with far more frequency.  🙂  And now you get to “meet” her, too…   Happy Birthday to my Rubia! She’s been such a wonderful friend all these years and continues to be such a positive, encouraging, caring and inspirational person in… Read more >

Birthday Blog Takeover #4

I’ve gushed about my amazing in-laws numerous times on the blog, but their excitement for veganism and creativity as they are exploring it are just a few of the reasons why they are exceptional people.  I am extremely lucky to have such encouragement in my life (it’s pretty clear why Kyle is the way he is).  So without further ado, my second parents… As what we would call ourselves “ Vegan Virgins” (VV) we welcome the fall when squash harvest is abundant and easy solutions for vegan cooking are plentiful! When Kyle asked us to… Read more >

Seriously…you’re joking, right?

I have a ton of random things – some are food related, but some aren’t – that I’ve been saving up to share with you.  They are rather amusing.  In my opinion, at least. Even though I come from a wine family, I still have issues with uncorking a bottle.  I wasn’t even drunk (yet), so I really have no excuse. Almost every time we go grocery shopping Kyle convinces me we are out of frozen peas.  This weekend I cleaned and organized our freezer (wild Friday night, I know!) and discovered this. When I… Read more >
