Party time weekends

February weekends have been packed.  Priority numero uno was Patty-cakes’ 3rd birthday.  We had a small park gathering the weekend before his birthday and then celebrated the big 3 the entire following week.  It was seriously a never ending fiesta thanks to the staggered visits from grandparents and whatnot.  I mean he only got a handful of presents but since we opened one a day it definitely made it a full on affair. Zoo day with good friends.  P is showing “three” fingers because he put three coins in AND he’s turning three years old.  This… Read more >

What I’m loving

I have a few recent obsessions Orange in chocolate. Ever since the TJs christmas chocolate oranges I can’t get enough of this pairing.  I’m not big on citrus outside of this, so it’s odd.  Anyway, the Lindt bar in the center above was the best of the bunch. The weekly menu

Two (and now three since I started this post) whole weeks have passed without my weekly dinner wraps up!  Yikes.  There were such good ones too.  I always say that don’t I?  Not to toot my own horn, but I don’t like making blah recipes so whenever I meal plan I try to pick out meals that are different (and delicious, obvs).  Do you eat the same thing from week to week?  Or do you read cookbooks and blogs and bookmark things like I do?  I’m genuinely curious about how the rest of you eat…do you… Read more >

Check listing

I was so on top of my meal prepping game this January!  It was one of my goals for the year because I think it’s an area of my life that I can change that will bleed (in a positive way) into the rest of my life.  Plus, any excuse to add more checklists into my day is 100% welcomed. In addition to my weekly meal planning, I now have a notebook in which I write a list of the week’s tasks as they relate to the meals I’m making – meals for the kiddos, breads and… Read more >

The weekly menu

I was just going to skip this past week’s meals because I got so behind but some are worth sharing (because I think you guys should know about these for your own menu planning) but also, I may actually post a recipe.  Gasp!!  I know, I know, I made something from my own kitchen that wasn’t directly from a cookbook/blog that actually requires written out instructions!  It was monumental for another reason too.  It was the first recipe that I made that ALL FOUR OF US ate.  The same exact dinner!  Can you believe it???  I’m so thrilled… Read more >
