The partying continues

Kyle’s parents came this weekend!  They haven’t seen the kids since we visited them in Idaho 6 months ago so I’m glad they got to spend some QT with their grandkids.  They arrived Friday afternoon, when Kyle was still gone, which was a big help for me.  We had a crazy busy Friday morning before they arrived – with gymnastics classes and a Pinocchio puppet show accompanied by the Davis HS symphonic orchestra. They have boxes called “Early Learning Kits” that you can check out.  Each has a particular theme (this one is “owls”) and comes with books and an interactive/craft type thing relating to the theme. The books were a huge hit and for some… Read more >

From early October

We had an afternoon with nothing planned so I asked P what he wanted to do and he said “art projects”… His painting skills are changing before my eyes and it’s cool to watch.  There was purposeful color coordination and attempts at doing one object at a time.  Lil Picasso.  😛 This is what it looks like when you go to Costco for the first time after your child “outgrows” a tree nut allergy.   Ha.  Fodmaps-wise I may be really sensitive to pistachios.  I never noticed it before, but I’ve had handfuls here and… Read more >
