LA LA land, day 4

The real world all went back to work on Monday, but we got to keep on vacationing.  🙂 Breakfast with my squad at Coral Tree Cafe. Kyle and I studied here together a few times in college…and went here on a date very early in our relationship…so even though the food is mediocre, it’s still a special place. We started with coffee and a chocolate chip scone.  The scone was delish.  Probably the best part of the meal. They charge an obscene 75 cents extra for soy milk (per cup), but were generous enough to give… Read more >

LA LA land, day 3

Another morning, another run on the beach… Rose Cafe has always been Kyle’s fave brunch spot in LA, so obviously we had to go. It’s been redone, so the interior was a bit different, as was the menu.  Kyle was kinda bummed because Rose Cafe is where he first fell in love with eggs benedict and there weren’t any benedicts on the whole menu.  They used to have a bunch of different ones.  🙁 I was in the mood for something sweet, so I got the cinnamon roll with vanilla glaze that I first laid eyes… Read more >

LA LA land day 2

Not sure how to pronounce this place…yass or yaz or y.a.s? But I went to a spin class there on Saturday morning because #wheninLA right??  I was there early, because it was a 2 minute walk from our rental, and I am one of those people who is still early everywhere, even on vacation. I showered and got ready back at home and then we walked down to Abbot Kinney for breakfast… Read more >

LA LA land

Spring Break did not start out great.  P ended up coming down with a cold Thursday night/Friday morning, which stalled his allergy OIT from advancing.  At the time I was a little bummed out, but it turned out to be a blessing because it meant (a) we were able to leave to drive to LA sooner and (b) we got to see how the clinic handled illness without it being too bad. They were SO amazing.  We have recently suspected he has (respiratory cold induced) asthma, so what is a normal cold for others, escalates… Read more >

Second birthday things

I know the birthday posts seem to be never-ending right now, but Kyle and V were born a mere few days apart and both need their own proper celebrations!  So each got a party in addition to their actual birth day.  Hence the excessive fiesta coverage on HHH. The theme of this week was clean out the fridge. I did the bare minimum for shopping…just enough to give the birthday people their requested dinners (taco night for K, waffles for V). I did make pancakes 4 different days, but that’s because I froze each day’s leftovers to have… Read more >
