Maintenance for a month

Since P reached maintenance for his cow milk OIT, we have been waiting for a full month to try out dairy… Per our MD’s protocol you should wait at least a month after graduating before adding in new dairy.  And from there you should start with amounts of protein <4 g (because his dose is 1/2 cup whole milk which is equivalent to 4 g of protein).  After that you can proceed however you wish.  This is freeing and exciting and nerve-wracking all at once.  But mostly exciting. For fun

It seems like the parents of Davis are the best of the best when it comes to conscientiousness about P’s allergies.  I already knew my close friends were fantastic, but time and time again I am blown away by how sweet and thoughtful others are.  I bring snacks all the time for our paint & sing class because it’s a good way for me to know that they will be safe for P, but technically it’s supposed to be a rotating job.  One of the moms brought in all these vegan and GF treats last… Read more >

Kyle and I had a vacation day!  We woke up after a medium night’s sleep and kissed our babes goodbye and went on a run.  Together!  It was so fun.  We found some stairs and did those and because I had company I ran a but longer than I would on my own. I had packed breakfast and lunch for the kids for my sister and her husband, Chris, to give them.  They gave P his dose and headed for Sonoma’s train town… Just as Kyle and I were sitting down to eat breakfast.  🙂… Read more >

Day 30: the real end

This post is a bit overdue, but I figured it was a better late than never kind of thing, so I am going to at least bookend this journey here on HHH. I finished! I went to another stroller strides class on Friday – had a BLAST (AGAIN!) and next thing I know it’s noon and our kids are still playing at the park and we are chatting up a storm. I brought an iced chai tea with coconut milk and stevia that I cold brewed in the fridge.  I started cold brewing chai tea last… Read more >
