Back to the Marriott

Check out at Honua Kai was at 10 so we decided to take our time that morning and get a last load of laundry done before packing. I had a maca ball with a macadamia nut milk latte (!!!) from the hotel’s cafe after an hour on the elliptical (watching bravo crap on tv per usual). Kyle took the kids for a last hurrah at the pool while I packed us up and then we were off to adventure the afternoon away until the Marriott was ready for us to check in. Poke secrets

This girl put her suit on as soon as she got up every morning and then sat waiting patiently for everyone else to be ready.  Since Kyle and I alternated loooong workout sessions (why not!? it’s vacation!) it took us a while to get out of the room, which was why cooking for them was better than making them wait to dine out with us.  As you probably guessed by now, I got acai bowls from Choice most of the time.  Kyle did most days too, but he also got smoothies and baked goods from… Read more >

Lemony kale brown rice

Oh my goodness, these vacation posts are never ending!  We are back now, and I am getting life sorted out. We went… Read more >

Standing sleeping

This bread is REALLY good by the way.  It’s like Dave’s Killer Bread (but cheaper because it’s Safeway’s name brand) and still just as high of quality.  I am considering adding Safeway to our grocery store roster after seeing all the awesome stuff the store in Lahaina had.  My parents’ Safeway is really good too and the there is actually one closer to us than TJs so I don’t know why I never shop there?! How cute… Read more >

Down to the pirate ship

When the weather is this sublime you have to enjoy it on the balcony.  Especially when the day before was torrential. This was the “face-time” juice from Choice (again).   I don’t have many photos from the morning but we walked down to the Westin to play at their kids swim area with a pirate ship. They had so much fun.  As awesome as all the Honua Kai pools are, I knew the Westin had the pirate ship similar to the one the Marriott had (where we were staying before) and they loved it. … Read more >
