After the long (but relatively smooth) work weekend, all I wanted to do was sleep in ‘til noon. Unfortunately, I had (have) a to-do list the size of China, so that was out of the question. I felt like a full time secretary with the amount of time I was on the phone and doing paperwork. Ick. Those things should be illegal on days off. Hey Barack, can we get a bill passed on that? Since I was buried in boring, my brain kinda stalled out on me, and so I had what is probably… Read more >

It’s no secret, I love trips home. West Coast sunshine, family and friends…can’t get enough! This trip was jam packed, due to Kyle’s birthday celebration and an insane amount of wedding planning. Since I have photos up the hoo-ha, I’ll try to avoid the mundane (read: heaps of Stacy’s pita chips and hummus), such as this: And show you only the highlights, like this: Brewskies and cake. Now that’s a trip home! As I mentioned before, Friday was Kyle’s birthday, so we celebrated all day long. The key to having a fabulous birthday is having… Read more >

As far as weekends go, this was pretty damn near perfect. It started with a 10 am wake up call (sleep in much?), and then a bit of coffee loading. Since it was a GORGEOUS 40+ degrees outside, Kyle and I wanted to get our faces in the sun asap. So, after snacking on one (and a half) of my chia seed oat bars, we set out for a run in the park. I can’t even tell you how long I have been waiting to feel the road beneath my feet. The treadmill just hasn’t… Read more >

Froth-master-flex If you want foam like whoa, you can always click over to my tutorials tab. Anyways, I spent the AM researching items for our wedding registry. SO. MUCH. FUN. I mean, I love Kyle and all (obviously), but getting married has mega perks aside from the whole life-of-eternal-bliss thing. I am going to have one baller kitchen once I am a Mrs. Of course, I am always looking for more ideas, so if you want to share with me things that you think I should register for/know about – hit me up in the… Read more >

This is one of the more bare work lunches I have packed… Don’t worry, the apple-less state of this photo was remedied once I took my lunch break. Thank you Gracefully for providing such an abundance of eye candy organic fruit. Greens entered my bod in the form of spinach, brocc, and peas. The rest of the salad ingreds included adzuki beans, chickpeas, corn and dried cranz. Since Kyle has been a slave to the office, and I have hardly seen him over the last 72 hours, we decided a nice date night at Peacefood… Read more >
