Before leaving Newport Beach to head up to the Bay Area, Kyle and I made a detour and headed down to San Clemente. Some of Kyle’s fam live in the area so we spent a day with them relaxing at the beach. For dinner, we tried a Hawaiian inspired restaurant called Happa J’s. It was really nice and spacious with several rooms (the lounge, the main dining area, and the bar) surrounded by windows with a cool surf ambiance. They brought us edamame to snack on while we browsed the menu. I decided on the… Read more >

Anyways, here’s how I started the day – whole wheat sando thin with Justin’s maple almond butter and banana slices (along with unpictured javahhhh). I had a bushel of apples while taking the city… Read more >

Not only are they amazingly accepting of my vegan lifestyle, but they go above and beyond to accommodate it, to the point of straight up spoiling me!… Read more >

You all give me such love. I swear. Each and every comment about my stressed out blog hiatus filled my heart. Since I don’t wanna be Debbie Downer, rather than rehash all the reasons why the past few days of work sucked, I’ll just brush that dirt off my shoulder, and move the eff on. On a positive note, there were a couple of pretty sweet things that happened this week that cheered me up and (nearly) snapped me right out of my funk. The first was Tuesday’s dinner at Galanga, a small thai restaurant… Read more >
