Doing three (12 hour) shifts in a row is my least fave thing to do. I avoid it like the plague swine flu. However, my parents are coming into town today (yipeeeeee!!!), so I had to get all my work out of the way so I could have the weekend off :) It was an especially rough stretch because I only had one day off between my last weekend of chaos and this 72 hour stint. No matter. Ready for all my work lunches: Tuesday Salad, bars, Whole Foods’ spelt pretz, carrots, apples, and tea… Read more >

Work it bay-bay. My pre-packed food included: THREE bars (PB cookie Larabar, Chocolate Brownie Z bar, and a Peanut Toffee Buzz Clif bar) TWO apples …and a partridge in a pear tree ONE ginorm salad Like an onion, this sh!t had layers and layers: steamed kale, broccoli, BN squash, cannellini bean, cherry toms, and raisins – I added Bragg’s apple cider & liquid AA’s to it, too. It’s always nerve racking to put yourself out there, but I am continually amazed by the overwhelmingly supportive and positive comments. Gah. You guys are too much! Anyways, after breks, I cuddled up… Read more >

Plus, I didn’t get home from work until after 8 pm and all I wanted to do at that point was put on my PJs, watch football (slash Home Alone), and stuff my face (not in that order). On a holiday such as this, it would feel weird to eat before giving thanks, and so I feel as though I should acknowledge what I’m grateful for… Read more >

I’m all about VeganMoFo. October is already my favorite month, so I was delighted to read Gena’s latest post and find out that there is yet ANOTHER reason to smile now that it’s October. I mean, why not dedicate an entire month to celebrating a healthy lifestyle! In honor of this special Vegan Month Of Food, in each post I am going to reveal a celebrity who is vegan. Today’s vegan celeb was someone I was QUITE surprised about…I mean after years of torturing himself for entertainment purposes, who would ever have expected STEVE-O to… Read more >
