This week is nurses appreciation week (hooray!) but unfortunately the breakfast potluck party on my unit was the day I left for vacay. Had I not just finished night shift I may have stuck around, but I was so tired and ready to start my two weeks on holiday, I didn’t care too much about free bagels. Love. Love. Love. You can pretty much slap any romantic words in front of a meal name on the 14th and it’s instantly a cupid-themed treat, right? In honor of Kyle making it through finals without losing his marbles finishing the quarter, we decided to take a weekend getaway together. Neither of us had ever been to Palm Springs before so it seemed like a nice destination. I really didn’t do too much research before heading to the desert, but I’m a very simple girl. Our fourth day of honeymoonin’ started like the rest… Beachy keen. But after soaking up some rays and a few cups of coffee, we headed to the tennis courts for a complimentary hour of professional play horse play.
