I love Gold!

Garlic may not be my favorite thing in the world, but when it comes to making a marinade, I do enjoy a hint of it. And since the days of BBQ have peaked, these arrival of these Garlic Gold products couldn’t have been more timely. *Disclaimer: I did receive these products from the company to review. This is a side shot of the Garlic Gold Meyer Lemon Vinaigrette which we used as a marinade for the fish as well as the veggies.  Check out those layers!  So many glorious flavors in the oil mix.  The… Read more >

Getting back

Today was a full day.  A wedding prep extravaganza kind of a day.  Items now crossed off the to-do list: meeting with our pastor (for pre-marriage classes) invitation finalizing & printing (more) ring shopping (we finally got our wedding bands!) hair appointment-ing (no clue what I’m going to do with the mop I am rocking right now, but hopefully she’s got some ideas) closing my solo bank account (joint bank accounts, what, WHAT!) laundry gym time re-packing for yet another trip (back to New York this time!) That was thrilling for you to read about,… Read more >

I’m so paid

…But only because of my ridiculous trip to HR today, which felt more like The Amazing Race than an exit interview… The building has 19 floors.  The elevators are split so they don’t all go to every floor.  I had to go to the 19th floor, then the 5th, then the 19th, and then the 5th again.  Because I have nothing better to do right now…like, oh, I don’t know, packing maybe?  The lobby guard thought I was out of my mind as I went back and forth between one set of elevators and the… Read more >

Bread winner

This weekend Kyle’s at UCLA for an orientation of sorts, and I’m working it up.  (Yes, I do still have a job, but only for a few more weeks!)  Hey, someone has to bring home the dough, right?  I packed my goodies, as per usual. Salad.  Bars.  Teas.  Carrots.  Pretz/Raisins/Carob chips.  Hummus.  Apple.  (I actually had two other apples that I bought at the Union Square farmers market on my lunch break, too) The size of the salad looks dwarfed by the photo on the right, but trust, it was large and in charge.  It… Read more >

Full day

Full of errands, full of food, full of activity, full of sun, full of living.  How else would I start the day?  Alongside the apple was a new green monster blend.  I double fisted it with the spinach, which is why it turned out such a pretty color.  The other ingreds included a whole frozen banana, 1/4 block silken tofu, ice, ice and more ice. It looked neon in person, but isn’t quite as bright in the photo.  Ah well, just take my word for it – ‘twas muy verde.  After getting errands done around… Read more >
