I realized over the last few days my meals have been really lacking in the green department! Hmmm…looks like I’ll have to get on that. Maybe later. For now, I need warmth. I woke up because I was shivering, so it looks like I will be getting the down blanket out of the closet for the rest of the winter…it’s f-ing COLD.At least I finally got a day off work so I could sleep in. I def drank my coffee in bed. My slippers are also on their very last legs (no pun intended), so… Read more >

I woke up to flurries, and the weather only picked up from there. It was nice to sip hot coffee inside, wrapped in blankets, while the snow fell outside. I only like snow when I don’t have to leave the house though, so I think I’ll be over it pretty quickly since I have work tomorrow. With my AM coffee, I had a handful of dates, they were SUPER soft and chewy – the way I like them best. Look at the snow! It’s hard to tell how much it was actually snowing from the… Read more >

I’m still blowing my nose around the clock, too…when is this cold going to go away??? When I go outside it’s, like, 800 times worse, too! Frozen and chafed = bad bad combo. So I woke up this morning because I was unable to breathe out of my nose (again) so I immediately opted for some tea. I even held it right under my nose to let the steam’s vapor-like… Read more >

Sunday already? Wow, the weekend flew by, considering I did nothing all day Saturday. Again I slept in, and again I started the am with coffee topped off with ff foamy milk (gotta love the caffe froth)! I really like foam. For brunch I made an egg (beater) scramble with more tofu from the whole foods hot food bar. Quite a success if I say so myself. I actually think tofu and eggs are one of the greatest food combos (like pb+j). It was a really good protein-y start to the day.A few hours later,… Read more >

Today was not a day I was looking forward to…but all good things must come to an end, so back to work I went… It wasn’t as bad as I anticipated (most likely because I went in with the lowest of low expectations) – how sad that I approach my job this way?! Whatever. The unit was slow-ish, but I still had 3 patients. It was nice to work with Miranda and Jaja at least…Here’s the lunch I packed the day before.Smart deli turkey sammie with greek yog, mustard, and lettuce on A street bread…. Read more >
