This weekend was full of relaxing at home. Thank goodness! Last weekend I came down with mastitis and was way too ambitious for my own good. We went to a football game with a couple and their 6 month old on Saturday. And then traveled to the East Bay for a baby shower on Sunday. It was really fun, but I my suffer-in-silence-and-just-push-through-it approach completely backfired. Come Monday I felt like crap and it was just me and pacman left to our own devices. Raise your hand if you’re surprised by my stubbornness…nobody? Yeah that’s… Read more >

I almost titled this post Easter “hop”penings. Too cheesy? I agree. Every once in a while I’m able to deny the puns (sorry dad). The night before Easter Sunday we had some family visitors come over to see P…and bring us dinner! Salad bar 🙂 Mine was a little like a nicoise salad with green beans, red potatoes, eggs, and a vinaigrette dressing (Girard’s light champagne), but it also had chickpeas, beets, and cucumbers as well. Best part of all was that I didn’t have to do any of the prep! I set the table… Read more >

Some people may get sick of leftovers, but I am quite content eating the same thing over and over and over again. Leftovers x a million. Field Roast wild mushroom quarter loaf. Roasted veggies. Quinoa. Like a never ending Thanksgiving… Blackberries are NOT good in smoothies. The seeds. They’re annoying. But I still have half a bag of frozen berries in the freezer, so…yeah. It was a “mixed berries” bag, but I picked out all the strawberries, so it’s just blackberries left. Gotta do something with that. Kyle was in Arizona last… Read more >
