Sunday was our last (full) day in Sydney š We slept in a bit and after feeding P, drove over to Bronte for brunch. Bogey Hole was one of several cute looking cafes on the main street along the beach front. They were all pretty packed but after a short wait we were able to snag a spot outside that fit us all, including a very fussy P in his stroller. Kyle got a banana smoothie and toast with jam. I think we were all feeling a bit blah from the previous night. Laura… Read more >

Wednesday morning was pretty much the same – family walk to the store to get eggs and bananas, then we cooked and played with P until his morning nap. We tried to hit up Bird and Bear Boathouse for lunch (a place that I read several great reviews about) but once we got there we found out they weren’t serving food, just coffee and cookies. It looked like a great place to sip coffee with pretty views but we needed more than cookies to tide us over. It was a hike getting there from Double… Read more >

P played with the Tupperware some more because he’s obsessed, which tired him out and created… Read more >

I did a pretty good job of meal planning that last week of the year. First we finished off all the holiday leftovers we brought back from my parentsā house, including stuffing, roasted veggies, mashed potatoes, and lima bean casserole. One day, I jazzed it up and made a cheesy āgravyā sauce with nooch and water. And another day, I paired it with a salmon burger for some protein. Kyle took care of the rest of it. There was also extra shrimp and veggies from my parentsā holiday party so I pulled… Read more >

I am bad about taking pics of my daily eats (like I used to) but I get requests for them more than the ārealā recipesā¦so here are bunch of the quickie things I throw together on the regular. From last weekā¦ Millet with sautĆ©ed spinach, baked tofu & avocado I made the millet in the rice cooker, sautĆ©ed the spinach with sesame oil and tamari, and used Wildwood tofu. I made extras. I also re-made this salmon pasta, but in a HUUUUGE vat. Lots of veggies to use up? Throw them in! I… Read more >
