What to do when you find yourself starving on the East Side around dinner time? Hit up Candle Cafe, obviously. Since this was an impromptu dinner out, I didn’t have my camera on me…but at least Kyle’s iPhone was on hand. I wish my job gave me fun tech toys (although I’m not sure I would be a fan of having to answer at my boss’ beck and call…so maybe not). Since we were absolutely starving, we started with guacamole and chips while browsing the menu. The chips were like Doritos – sans lard. Delicious. … Read more >

After the long work weekend, I was looking forward to sleeping in on Monday, but my internal clock didn’t get the memo. Instead I embraced it and got to work on my day’s tasks. After coffee #3, I turned to some grub. Protein pancakes are all the rage right now…and I had to see what all the fuss was about. I’m not sure where this trend actually started, I seem to see them multiple times a day on various blogs, so to whoever coined the recipe first, I tip my hat to you. The stats… Read more >

I felt like a full time secretary with the amount of time I was on the phone and doing paperwork. Ick. Those things should be illegal on days off. Hey Barack, can we get a bill passed on that? Since I was buried in boring, my brain kinda stalled out on me, and so I had what is probably… Read more >

I have been working a long time on getting my shop perfect for it’s grand opening, and although I still have… Read more >

I was too lazy to make coffee this morning, so I headed to Starbucks to get my java fix…plus I’m way more productive without Bravo in the background. Although I’m not a big fan of Valentine’s Day, I am enjoying the heart cups. I busted out an apple after my soy misto. Around noon I headed home for lunch. Mostly I wanted avocado, so I made sure my meal revolved around that. BBQ sauce/nooch covered one half of the WF sandwich thin, with avocado lathered on the opposite half. I had a bowl of sweet… Read more >
