How cruel of me to leave off with such a tasty teaser…but before I get to the new flavors, let me continue with the day’s happenings… After our photography session we headed into the test-kitchen (slash science lab?) to meet with Sabra’s Executive Chef MaryDawn Wright. Seriously, check out the nerdy equipment!?! Anyone need to centrifuge something while whipping something else up on the stove? I wonder how often they put hummus in test tubes… It was extremely cool to see the behind the scenes where hummus is sampled, new flavors are… Read more >

Did you read this post? Did you guess where I was earlier this week? I can still hardly believe it myself. Imagine being completely obsessed with a product (for years!) and then finding out you get to fly across the country to tour the factory. And try the about-to-be-launched flavors. And learn about what they have planned for the future. Think about it. I mean really think about it. Could you ever!?!? I had to pinch myself throughout the entire trip. You see, I’ve adored Sabra from it’s infancy and made it very well known. … Read more >

If you read my blog back when I first started, then (1) you endured some pretty heinous “photography” and (2) you know there was a trend in my daily eats… It’s borderline obnoxious what happens when you enter the word “sabra” in my blog’s search engine. Obsession much? Ummm, yes. But rightfully so. As far as I’m concerned, this creamy smooth rich dip is in it’s own category. The above photo is from a festival in Union Square, NY (circa 2008). I guarantee you can’t imagine the delight I felt that day. While I… Read more >

I’ve made pancakes more than oats this week. And if you don’t understand how huge that is, you don’t know me very well. Pancakes are just awesome. On the left: almond butter and bananas On the right: peanut butter/maple syrup and bananas Kyle’s been out of town, so I have been sleeping in, making big batches of pancakes and eating them while watching TV on my computer. So lazy. Aforementioned “big batches” last me until well after noon. So I figure if I’ve had a few courses of pancakes, it counts as breakfast AND lunch,… Read more >

Laziness continued. Coffee. Coffee. Fruit. Coffee. A perfect Sunday morning (“morning” being used loosely since I slept in a LOT). Random fact: I really love fruit salad but I never make it because I like it when it’s already at least a day old. That means I have to plan ahead so I get the exact level of oxidized fruit. I also think that bananas are the essence of any good fruit salad. That’s why I made this salad the night before. It had apples, strawberries, pineapple, blackberries, and bananas. If it… Read more >
