PranaBars taste good

PranaBar hooked it up!! I was soooo excited to try these bars.  My work eats were long overdue for a newbie šŸ™‚ Pairs of everything (salad, apples, bars). Salad #1 (spinach, asparagus, green beans, carrots, adzuki beans) Salad #2 (quinoa, peas, corn, dried cranz) Bar#1 (Coconut Acai PranaBar) Bar #2 (Mocha-walla Odwalla bar) Apple #1 (red gala) Apple #2 (yellow wahsington) I think it’s fairly obvious which part of my lunch I was most excited to try… (Aside from Larabars) I have never found a bar with such great stats.  Seriously, this company has a… Read more >

Pearly whites & snowy nights

After my sophisticated breakfast of an apple and frothy cup of coffee, I headed to the dentist’s office for a routine cleaning.  Since I was in midtown, I met up with Kyle after my appointment to show off my sparkling new pearly whites.  I owe my cavity free chompers to these babies.  Kyle and I went for a little stroll before he returned to work. Meal numero uno: Big salad with mayj crunch, including… Read more >

On my laurels

This weekend I relaxed more than I have in a loooooong time.  I didn’t exercise.  I hardly cooked.  To be honest, I pretty much spent the weekend watching the Australian Open, football, and hanging out with Kyle (I did a fair amount of eating as well).  If that’s not the picturesque weekend, well, shoot me.  I have a TON of photos, but they aren’t very glamorous and don’t require much in the way of explanations…so…without further ado… JAVA the hut Bluffin’ with my muffin   How to make quinoa ghetto Afternoon delight(s) YouShake customized ā€œBlended… Read more >

V card

You may or may not remember this, but I have monthly dinner dates with my oldest girlfriends.  We all live in different areas in Manhattan, so in order to get to know each others’ hoods we alternate who chooses the place (forcing me to leave my comfort zone of UWS dining).  This month was MY pick, which was a relief since the past two dinners have taken me an embarrassing amount of time to find (the village is RIDIC confusing and I’m lucky if I end up retracing my steps only 3 times).  Usually I… Read more >
