Let’s start with dessert(s).  I had three times the bowl you see below.  Heavy on the candied ginger.   In case you were wondering, the Whole Foods on the westside have finally restocked their candied ginger supply, so this is their brand (as opposed to the Trader Joe’s kind that I’ve been hoarding for the past few months).  Whole Foods’ ginger is crystallized, so there is more sugar, but it’s also spicier.  I prefer the spicy kind.    Check it.  A mitten shaped piece! I worked this weekend which was whatever.  I don’t feel like talking about it.  I do feel like sharing my packed up eats though.    I made a pumpkin raisin chia pudding the day before, so I added some of it to my overnight oats, along with a banana.  Here’s the mix all stirred up together…   Soaking raisins plumps them up to such a delightful state! Non-stop ringing

Each day when I get to work I am assigned a cell phone with my own extension (all the nurses and care partners are).  I have the phone with me for all 12 hours of my shift.  Everyone has my number.  Everyone. Sometimes, it’s a bit much.  Case in point… Radiology: Is patient X able to come down for his PA/LAT now?  Does he need oxygen?  Any isolation? Patient room: Can I get pain meds? I just want everyone to know that’s how I read “WIAW.”  Yes, I’m weird. Peanuts!

10 years ago, if you asked me my favorite nut butter, I probably would have looked at you like you were crazy.  Was there anything other than peanut butter?  I certainly wasn’t aware of any other kinds.* I went through obscene amounts of peanut butter in college.  I was poor and it was cheap easy to steal from the sorority kitchen.  😉 However, since discovering almond butter, cashew butter, and sunflower seed butter, peanuts have been sidelined.  Poor little bench warmers.
