Contrary to what my posting may indicate, I do still work! Sorry I’ve been withholding my packed eats from you guys. I have only been taking pictures of 50% of them, though, so here’s what I’ve got. Hope this helps you with some ideas! Oats. Veggies. Pretzels. Sabra hummus (x2). Lasagna (leftover). Cookies. Apple. Candied ginger. Oat preference as of late: nuts, cinnamon & dried cherries. When the cherries soak overnight they plump up to get to be the size of full cherries. It’s pretty cool. Now that we are meal planning, my real real… Read more >

As per my previous few weeks, my Wednesday was more snack-y than meal-y in the AM. In addition to toast with Earth Balance and cantaloupe, I had home-made candied walnuts and a few dried pineapple rings. Not exactly a normal breakfast but it got the job done. So at noon I headed out to YogaWorks and did my thing. And by the time I got home I wasn’t starving, but I was definitely hungry. Roasted butternut squash, quinoa and a Sunshine veggie burger. Typical Elise plate – quick and covering all the main… Read more >

I’m sure at least a few of you saw that video way back when right? It’s now the anthem I sing in my head anytime I go to yoga. Normal? Nah. [Side note: Kyle wants to meet DJ Dave in a huge way…and since he’s clearly a Santa Monica resident, I think it’s only a matter of time…I just hope I’m not with him when it happens] I started the day with a non-cereal version of Cinnamon Toast Crunch. My mom got into town late Wednesday night, so on Thursday we spent the day shopping, lunching, and shopping some more. We have both been to True Food Kitchen before. I started with The Natural which is one of the most insanely non-alcoholic delicious beverages. Ever. It’s ginger, agave, and soda. Mmmm… My mom got a lemonade. For our mains, we each got our own salad and then split the TLT. I’ve gotten the kale salad (with my same tweaks – no parmesan, add baked tofu) every time I’ve gone to True… Read more >

The most massive banana ever. At the perfect state of ripeness. A work breakfast (flaxy oatmeal) that I didn’t end up eating because I got cafeteria french toast instead. GAHHHHH!!! Why can’t I quit you!!! Quinoa, roasted veggies, and nooch up the yin yang. Greens, roasted veggies, hardboiled eggs, and avocado. Again, I nooch-ed it up post-photo. Curry tofu. It’s vegan, it’s FODMAPs free, and it’s in the book. SodaStream water with lemons from the neighbors tree. Yes, I put a whole lemon in my water. And I smashed it up and drank… Read more >
