Monday Risotto Tuesday Quinoa quiche.  It’s a cheap and easy staple.  Not much else to say. I wish I could tell you this provided leftovers…but we are oinkers. Wednesday Curry stir fry with quinoa. New hazards in the grocery store

What do we have here?  Can you see what’s in there or do I need to zoom in for you.   Oh hello there hippie bowl of yum. Old to new

You all know I’m frugal.  And that I like re-working leftovers.  This is not news. So when Alene & Ethel sent me home with extras from the shower, I was really excited to transform them into new dishes not have to cook for a while. Orzo salad with sun dried tomatoes. Quinoa with edamame, kale, and tomatoes. Both of these dishes made their way into the weekly dinner plan immediately. Tofu enhanced pesto

  This is basically a summer dish masquerading as a winter dish (because of the red and green colors, okay?).  Totally Christmas-y.   Here in Santa Monica, my garden still thinks it’s supposed to be producing.  So most of the recipe’s ingredients are from my garden. Elise Lately [IV]

Some people may get sick of leftovers, but I am quite content eating the same thing over and over and over again. Leftovers x a million.     Field Roast wild mushroom quarter loaf.  Roasted veggies.  Quinoa.  Like a never ending Thanksgiving…   Blackberries are NOT good in smoothies.    The seeds.  They’re annoying.  But I still have half a bag of frozen berries in the freezer, so…yeah.  It was a “mixed berries” bag, but I picked out all the strawberries, so it’s just blackberries left.  Gotta do something with that.
