My amazing guest blogs allowed me to take a hiatus from posting, but I was still snapping pictures for the good stuff. There’s no way I could share a week’s worth of food in one post, so I will limit it to the top three highlights worth sharing…all of which happen to start with the letter “B”. 1. Bread I’ve made probably 5 loaves since I last blogged. I’ve been changing the ratios of flours with each one. Some have been stellar (like the 2 pound loaf that I single-handedly polished off in one day)…while… Read more >

My next birthday blog post is from my best friend Lauren. We were so close growing up that our teachers literally wondered what was going to happen once we graduated and went off to separate colleges. Our high school band teacher was especially concerned. And yes, I just revealed the fact that we both were in band all the way through high school. Photo evidence? Me & Lauren & our French Horns. Yeahhhh… Well, now that I’ve given away my deepest darkest nerdiest secret, I will turn the blog over to Lauren… Elise and… Read more >

Work eats: salad, Halo s’mores ProBar , Enjoy Life chewy cocoa loco bar. This salad was just your average… Read more >

I have been completely lagging in showing off my work eats. Packing up my food for the hospital is an art form, but it’s one I’ve perfected. Blogging about them, however, takes more time and I’m always exhausted when I get home from 12+ hours on my feet. And of course, there was the unexpected drive down to Newport Beach this weekend…so I’m definitely behind. Not to throw excuses at you, I’m just saying, I have weeks of hospital food stored up. How excited are you!? Ha! Here what’s to follow: on-the-go meals that are… Read more >

As far as I’m concerned, it’s officially Fall. And in the spirit of the season, pumpkin puree is back on the menu. Remember this bread recipe? Well, how about a FODMAPS friendly oat bake version? Pumpkin Banana Oat Bake (v, gf) oats water cinnamon coconut chia seeds I didn’t really measure the ingredients, just pulsed them in the magic bullet and gave the chia seeds some time to gel. While the oat mix cooked in the microwave (I put it for 1.5 minutes because I was too lazy to wait for… Read more >
