pitas

To Your Health!

I wish someone could have heard the conversation Kyle and I had on the way home from this dinner.  “What does A Votre Sante mean anyway?” “I think it’s another Saint.” “No, that’s not right.” “Maybe twenty something?” “Maybe something sane?” “No.” “Hmmm…” “Is it French?” “Latin?” “No idea.” “Well, I give up.” “We’ll look it up when we get home.” “Okay.” No seriously.  We are really dumb when it comes to languages outside of English and Spanish (I can see Kyle rolling his eyes right now saying “speak for yourself”).  Truthfully, all I can… Read more >

TGI…

I worked on Saturday, so my Friday wasn’t really a TGIF kind of day.  To summarize the AM: cereal, bike ride, window shopping.  I had two Turlock multi-grain pitas with hummus for lunch and a veggie burger a la mode.   Hummus gone.  🙁   In terms of fizz KeVita < Synergy, in terms of calories it’s the reverse.  Flavor-wise I go back and forth.  Depends on what I’m in the mood for. Truthfully, all I wanted for dinner was quinoa drenched in Bragg’s liquid aminos, but I decided to up the nutritional profile of… Read more >

A bit bruised

So here’s the sitch.   Did I mention I have a triathlon in under 30 days.  Problem?  Yes.  It gets worse.  I got in an accident yesterday while riding my bike, which I was in denial about until I went to work today…and wound up in the ER half way through my shift.  I feel like I got hit by a bus.  I am so so sore.  It’s unbelievable.  I have less than 50% range of motion in my neck and my tailbone is badly bruised.  I basically feel stiff all over.  Anyway.  I don’t… Read more >

Another maoz meal

motweth

If I had to summarized Monday through Thursday in a single post…well…I can’t, so I don’t know how to end that sentence.  But, where I was going with that intro was to say my week has been packed and amazing. Highlights reel?  Sure, why not. Monday slash Tuesday I had night shift stuff.  The only thing of note food-wise was how many berries I consumed over the course of the day.  I have likely met my Vitamin C quota until October.  I also made a pita pie (for those of you who keep asking about… Read more >
