In the words of Stephanie Tanner…

“How Rude!” The day started off like any other – up and at ‘em with the sun.  I even got up 10 minutes early to do a quickie “rise & shine” yoga (gracias a Exercise TV on demand).  I usually don’t do this for fear of waking up Kyle at 5 am – but since he’s away, I decided to take advantage.  It felt grrrrrreat!  Even though it was little more than stretching, it definitely got me energized.  Blood flowing. Ready for work. Then things got weird.  Not with me.  Fortunately, the drama on the… Read more >

green MASH(ine)

Let’s get down to it.  Woke up at 4:45, hopped on the subway, fueled up at the ‘bucks, and started my day. Do I really need to explain these?  My work day eats are so boring and repetitive.   I’ll admit, it’s a little heavy on the dried fruit…but my fiancé is in the Jerz for a conference, so…you know…(wink wink) I had lots of coffee, too.  It was v. necessary since I was yawning at a rate of 7 times/minute. The day was pretty chill…there were no cases today, and my other patients were… Read more >

MY place

Workity work. I was up with the cock-a-doodle-doo this morning…I’m not sure why, but for the fifth day in a row I woke up at 4 am on the dot (without my alarm even going off).  Whatever.  I dragged myself to the subway, and woke up a bit more along the way… What’s there to say.  Work was work was work was work.  I was craaaazy busy all day, but not really in a good way.  I felt like I was in slow motion and I couldn’t get myself organized, which is so unlike me.  Blah. … Read more >

LAME-o was her NAME-o

I woke up super early for work today, washed my face, brushed my teeth, threw my afro into a pony, and grabbed my pre-packed lunch from the fridge…when the day kinda took a rough turn… Tumbler full of coffee meet hardwood floor.    Blog world meet the culprit. **Gena, I TOLD you I shouldn’t be trusted with a cleaver!!! I headed off to work grumpy and non-caffeinated.  Not a great start to the day. Today’s pre-packed eats: Big ‘ol salad, strawberry/pomegranate odwalla bar, apple, dried papaya spears and mangoes.  Spinach, broccoli slaw, shredded carrots, clover… Read more >

Meet Milo

My parents went to pick out our new puppy yesterday!  I say “our” but I don’t live at home anymore, so it’s really theirs.  But since it took over 3 months for all 5 family members to agree on the name, it’s safe to say it’s the family puppy.    We had a German Shepherd when I was growing up, too.  So we really wanted another.  My mom holding Milo. Could he BE any cuter??? He’s only 4 weeks old now, so we have to wait ‘til he’s a bit older (and no longer breast… Read more >
