Dinner in P-town

After a full day of driving (11 hours to be exact), Kyle and I arrived at our hotel in downtown Portland just after 5 pm.  He was ready to pass out, but I wasn’t going down without a fight workout and vegan meal in me first. Jamie Oliver’s nightmare

As Kyle and I attempt to empty our fridge and freezer before moving, I have discovered both the pros & cons of pre-packaged meals.  Pro:  Mindless, easy prep (box –> plate? even a caveman Kyle can do that) Con: Stipation (where the greens at, yo?) Din-Fast

Due to unforeseen circumstances, I’ve been a terrible blogger the past two days.  If you are thinking I’ve been living it up since I’ve been job-less…well…think again.  I can pretty much summarize the last 48 hours as follows: Couch –> bed –> couch –> bed (and repeat) I felt like Mama Pea but without the delightful side-effects that being ‘viked up brings (sadly pamprin doesn’t have quite the high that vicodin does…). Adios NYSC, Hola DVDs

Today was a good day for your truly.  And it will be for you too, since there’s a giveaway involved (read on).  I have nothing very interesting to report.  I started a new book, watched mindless t.v. shows, did Jillian’s shred (level 1), and then made it to the gym for my last workout at NYSC.  I also did some eating. Calming carob

Wow, I’m behind in posting!  Sadly, I was busy with boring things, so my catch up posting isn’t going to be all that thrilling…or thorough.  I worked…and you know what that means…eating out of tupperware!  Unfortunately, the above eats were not representative of what I actually consumed because I was floated to the ICU (no time for snacking) and my tum was acting up (no desire for roughage).  What I really ate was the salad, pretz with hummus, and the nutty/carob-y mix (basically I skipped the carrots and apples).  There was also a fresh sourdough… Read more >
