I went to bed sooo late last night because I was waiting for Kyle to finish his homework (yes, he has homework). Too bad for me that didn’t end up being until 1 am. I wasn’t too concerned because, hey, it’s not like I have a job or anything. But instead of sleeping in and regaining those lost hours, I was up and at ‘em at 7:30. 😡 6 hours of sleep? Meh. Not bad, but not a routine I want to roll with all the time. The early rise and shine did give me… Read more >

If there’s one thing I pride myself on, it’s my ability to create meals out of the most random hodgepodge assortment of leftovers. This should come as no surprise given my love for everything-but-the-kitchen-sink salads, but I definitely think I have a knack for making cupboard scraps and a nearly empty fridge into a fairly decent dish. Oats are the perfect central ingredient for this little something-out-of-nothing trick. And you can use Brendan Brazier’s recipe for “pizza sauce.” But in the end, all that matters is if it tastes good. And it did. Last month, I bookmarked a very intriguing recipe from my fave healthy everythingtarian in which she made pizza dough using beer. If your reaction to this news is anything like mine was, you’re probably chomping at the bit in anticipation… Read more >

If Pigpen and Courtney Love shared a teeny tiny living space, I’d imagine it would still look more organized than our apartment. Moving isn’t fun. There’s chaos everywhere.
