Can I just show all the yummy things I’ve been stuffing my face with lately in one quick post? Life before Thanksgiving did exist. The last of the pumpkin cornbread muffins with eggs. And yet another savory breakfast. The to-go cup is because I was heading to MOPS after and wanted to be able to continue my decaf fueling there. We made pies! I actually can’t take any credit for this because I was holding P the whole time and another mom did 99% of the work for me. He had a meltdown… Read more >

It’s that time of year!! Family visiting. Fires roaring. And work is getting slow (enough) because it’s the holidays so everyone can get together. We were in Chico this past weekend for a wedding, a 1st birthday, and a new baby visit. So many happy things to bring us all together!! We arrived in town on Friday evening and only swung by the hotel for a hot second to drop off our bags (I stayed in the car because P was asleep in the car seat). Immediately after we went to see Billy &… Read more >

Hi lashes! Here’s another insanely simple thing for people on the go. I made it back for Kyle when I had mastitis and wasn’t in the mood to cook. Last I left off was my birthday dinner. The next day we went to brunch at La Boulange. Mine is the salad on the right. Odd for a breakfast choice, but the taste buds wanted it. We hung around the house until my dad got home from work, then we walked to WF to grab sandos. This is the crappy iPhone shot I got. They were out of the Sonoma chik’n salad (which uses Beyond Meat), so I went with a basic vegetarian sando with the works. Vegenaise and avo together are good stuff. … Read more >

Trrrrrrrrouble. [Don’t be deceived by this photo, he’s not crawling. At. All. He rolls to get everywhere. He’s surprisingly mobile for only using rolling as a means of travel. I’m sure I’ll be swallowing my words later but it would be nice if he showed some signs of crawling. Like maybe contact with the ground. On the other hand, he’s basically ready to walk since he holds himself up using the coffee table or wall as support…hmmm…tummy time to standing? Kids are confusing.] On Thursday my parents came to Davis to visit for a few… Read more >
