I took pics of the days surrounding Kyle’s 30th, but never shared them! Never too late to celebrate? Here’s the young man and his tower of 30 beers. Kyle requested an al fresco themed birthday dinner, and since it was gorgeous weather it seemed like a brilliant idea. We hit up the farmer’s market that day and hung out in the park with friends, soaking up the social scene. It was a taste of what it to come (once the weather finally commits to warmth in entirety). The above platter had some old… Read more >

Here are some products I’ve tried lately. Some were bad, some were okay, some were good, and some were awesome. So I figured I’d share. I have no affiliation with any of these companies. These are simply my honest opinions. 1. blue monkey coconut chips I got these as a freebie for some educational event I went to, but I know they are sold at Whole Foods as well as mainstream grocers (check the “ethnic foods” aisle). I really loved them and although they were sweetened, I’d buy them again. I used them as… Read more >

Here are some products I’ve tried lately (or over the last few months…). Some were bad, some were okay, some were good, and some were awesome. So I figured I’d share. I have no affiliation with any of these brands. These are simply my honest opinions. 1. Nama-Age deep fried tofu. I thought deep fried anything would be good, but this didn’t have any flavor. Bland. Lame. I wouldn’t buy again. 2. Puro Coffee. It’s organic and fairtrade and I have liked all the blends I’ve tried (and I’m picky about my java!). I think… Read more >

So is October 12th. Why is everything happening on Oct 12th? Anyway, I switched my Saturday shift to allow me to attend two birthday parties. The first was… Read more >

I’ve been aggressively snacking between meals and all the nibbles are going undocumented. This bothers me because I want to have a better handle on my eats. I get frustrated because I don’t always have time to eat well so (excuses excuses) I just grab the easiest and fastest thing and shove it down my gullet between diaper changes, laundry, and all that jazz (the joys of motherhood I guess). But I want to be accountable for what I’m putting in my body. I used to take photos of everything I ate and that not… Read more >
