This weekend was so much fun. I had Friday through Sunday off and Kyle was actually caught up with all his MBA shiz, so we got to spend a lot of time relaxing (together). I’ve shown you the d & e meals, but Superbowl Sunday was definitely the highlight. PACKERS what whaaaat! Friday morning started with an early breakfast for me. I was up and at ‘em with the sun garbage trucks (which was fine since I had fallen asleep at 7:30 the night before). I made myself a warm bowl of oats and buckwheat. … Read more >

I will eat it. Now since I want you to get it just right; here’s how to build the most be-udi-ful breakfast bowl. Assemble your team. I like a balance of textures, so I went with an apple, a pear, The Greek Gods plain greek yogurt, and Udi’s gluten free Original granola. If the granola didn’t have dried fruit and nuts already in it, they would have been supplemented by moi. Fortunately, Udi’s granola is legit enough to already contain the goods. I loved Udi’s Au Naturel flavored granola (seriously top notch stuff) so I… Read more >

One of the easiest ways to make sure you eat well and save money is bringing your own food to work. I’m practically a pro at packing meals to-go because I work at a job that requires it. As a nurse, I’m often squeezing snacks and meals in whenever I can. Unlike my days off, when I can eat whenever I’m hungry, the timing of my meals at work is instead based on my patients’ stability. In NYC, I brought my lunch every single day. If you add it up, those 2 1/2 years of… Read more >

My sister came to visit this weekend so Kyle and I did our best to show off Santa Monica in all it’s glory. The weather wasn’t cooperating, but despite the misty cloud cover, it was a weekend packed with fun. Friday morning we hiked to Inspiration Point in Will Roger’s State Park. By the time we got back it was lunch time and Huckleberry was calling our names. Laura has heard me rave about Huckleberry so many times, it was an obvious choice for lunch. First we split the white bean dip with a slice… Read more >
