Kyle was just as sample savvy as I was at ExpoWest. He promised to do reviews as he ate them, but I thought he was joking… Then I got an email from him (with photos!) and descriptions and realized he was serious. Here are his notes, copied verbatim from his emails to me. Late July organic Dude Ranch multigrain snack chips Great cheese flavor and not too ranchy (the name is a bit deceiving), especially since I don’t like ranch dressing. The chips also have that fun powder flavor stuff on top that sticks… Read more >

Just popping in to let you all know that this week’s galactans challenge is still in full effect. Each day I’ve been testing my digestive system’s limits with a different member of the category – including peas, beans, lentils…and hummus. Oh glorious hummus. [For a list of the others galactan foods check here] I somehow managed to delete the final product of this banana, oat, pumpkin combo. So, yeah. This is all I’ve got. Work eats: salad, Halo s’mores ProBar , Enjoy Life chewy cocoa loco bar. This salad was just your average… Read more >

Without fail. Some weeks I make two batches because I go through it so quickly. I use my rice cooker, so it’s a completely mindless activity…as second… Read more >

Prepping for the “elimination phase” of the FODMAPS diet was a bit daunting at first. I found myself looking up individual foods constantly to see what their chemical structure was (and if they contained FODMAPS). But once I started to get the hang of it, I came up with lots of meal ideas. My meals will continue to be plant-based, but I want to try and make this as helpful as possible for all my fellow IBSers, so please note, the starred (*) items are for those who aren’t vegan. FODMAPS free grocery list Fruit… Read more >
